EVELYN'S POV
I stood motionless at my place and saw my mate smiling with his chosen mate in his arms. Claire is pregnant with his pup. They announced her pregnancy today. I don't know how to react at this point. What else was I expecting from him when I knew he was sleeping with her? They are going to be parents soon.
Emily isn't responding to me anymore. I tried to call her many times but she isn't ready to talk to me. The news of our mate being the father of someone else's pup has broken her beyond repair.
"What happened Evelyn? Why are you standing here? We need to bake a cake for Alpha and Luna. They are going to give us our future Alpha. I am so happy." Isabelle said smiling which showed how excited she is
Everyone in the pack house is happy except me.
"I am not feeling good Isabelle, can you cover it for me today?" I asked her
"What happened to you Eve? From the day of your 18th birthday you are changed. You don't smile anymore nor do you look the same. You look terribly sick to me. I will cover it for you today but you need to visit the pack doctor." she asked with concern
"I am sick Isabelle and fun fact is it's not curable at all." I told her and went upstairs where my room was
"Emily, please talk to me. We can't break down like this." I called her but except a few sobs I got nothing in return
I stayed in my room the whole day and didn't go out to eat either. My hunger has died! Isabelle checked on me and offered me food but I didn't eat.
"Human can we go for a run please?" Emily talked to me when it was night time
"Yes we can go." I told her and sneaked out of my room making sure no one spots me
She came out as I shifted in my white wolf with silver eyes and ran as fast as I could. I reached the end of a cliff and shifted back to my human form. Thankfully I can shift with my clothes back which normally everyone can't do.
Today is a full moon night when the moon shines brightest but my day is the darkest today.
"Why Moon Goddess? Why me? Why did you do that to me? From the time I understood what mate is, I wished for a mate who will love me just like the way my father used to love my mother. They were the best parents ever. Why did you snatch everything from me?"I shouted and my voice echoed in the dark night
Tears started falling down as I sat down on the edge with my legs hanging out. If I jump from here my story will end in a moment but I won't. Why should I? I bore so many things to be happy in life, not this.
I am Evelyn Smith, an 18 year old she wolf. Who lost her parents when she was just 8. How? A pack attack which was done by the blood moon pack yeah the very same pack where I'm staying. I am not a member of this pack, that's why they treat me like that. Alpha Lucas attacked my silver moon pack and because we were a small pack my father couldn't protect the pack nor could he protect himself or my mother. They all died and I survived alone.
I don't know why Alpha Lucas spared me that day and instead of killing me he brought me in his pack as an omega.
No one knows my real identity except Alpha Lucas; they don't know I was Alpha's daughter.
My mother used to tell me that mates are the best thing which can be given to a wolf and Moon Goddess never leaves anyone without a mate. She didn't leave me without a mate but definitely she forgot to make him love me.
"I hate you so much Moon Goddess for pairing me with such a moron of a mate. If you didn't pair him with me then I wouldn't have suffered like this. Why did you snatch my parents first then give me this kind of a mate? You know what? I don't believe that you exist. You're just a myth! If you were real I would never have suffered the way I did." I said looking towards the moon which appeared blurry to me because of my tears
