The Omega's Rejection

Chapter 9

Evelyn's pov

“Are you feeling good now Ms? After one month you're waking up!” I heard someone saying

Who is it? Where am I? What happened to me? My head hurts so bad and I didn't get any answer of mine from my own self.

“Who are you?” I asked that person

“Ms. I'm doctor Julien, you had an accident and someone rescued you. We saved you but you went into a coma. Today you're finally awake and we need to run some tests on you.” He informed me and I started remembering everything

My 18th birthday, Zach being my mate, him keeping me secret, getting Claire pregnant and I rejected him. Yes I rejected him despite Emily's warning and fell down from the cliff.

Did he search for me? That's the thought which came in my mind after I remembered everything and to be honest I want to smack myself hard for even thinking it. Like how can I even imagine that he will search for me? I am really stupid and I never fail to prove it.

I need to talk to Emily once this doctor leaves. She must be in pain very much because she lost her mate. Physical injuries will heal soon but not mental ones. The doctor said I'm here for 1 month? How is it possible? With my werewolf abilities I am not supposed to be sick for so long.

“I am feeling better, doctor but I want to rest.” I told him and he nodded

Once he left I tried to talk to Emily but there was no response from her side.

“Emily, respond to me! Where are you?” I asked her but no reply from her side

My eyes filled with tears as reality slapped me hard. Emily is gone! Maybe she couldn't take the pain of rejection and after that I fell from the cliff as well. Even she left me alone. Now I'm just a normal human girl without a wolf. Weak and alone in this world.

Now what will I do? Where will I go? How will I survive alone? Why did I even survive this? My mate doesn't want me. My wolf left me now, what is left?

I was so lost in my grieving process or maybe I have lost my sharp ability to sense people. I didn't notice someone else was there as well with me.

“Hello, I'm Zara. I brought you here. Finally you're awake. I didn't think it would take so much time for you to get up. Owing to the fact you're a werewolf just like me.” That girl Zara said and then I realised I wasn't alone here

I tried to wipe my tears but she saw me before I could do it.

“Hey, what happened? Why are you crying? Is it hurting somewhere? Should I call the doctor?” she asked concerned and I don't know why I started crying more

Maybe because except Isabella no one bothered to ask me how I am.

“Hey calm down. If something is bothering you, tell me. I am the Beta female of the Lycan kingdom. You can share with me if something is wrong.” She assured me and I ended up telling her everything except of the details and identification of them

I don't want anything to go down hill for myself. I have escaped that place. Zach might kill me this time for spoiling his image and most importantly Zach is going to be a father and my complaint can cause problems to him which will affect his baby and I don't want it to happen.

I can never harm an innocent baby just because his parents did wrong to me.

“Your ex mate was pathetic, don't worry Evelyn. You're not alone. I stay here nearby away from the clan among humans. You will stay here with me as well. For now focus on healing as your wolf isn't here anymore. I will always support you. Moon Goddess wanted you to survive, that's why I was out running that night and saw you almost dead. It's your second life and you will live it happily. From here your new life starts Evelyn.” Zara said and I hugged her tightly

Even though it hurts a bit, I can handle this much pain because I have suffered more than this. Now I will live my life from a new end now. This is my second life indeed and for Emily's sake I have to live good because she sacrificed herself for me. I will make her proud.

No men, no mates, no drama in my life. Now I will live my life on my own terms. Only if I knew how wrong I was about everything and soon my life will become more chaotic than before it was.
