Chapter 11

(Helena's POV) "Who are you?" The stern looking woman who is the manager asked me. A frown forming on her shiny forehead. Her beady black eyes studied me like I am under a microscope and I can't help but feel conscious by the way she is staring at me. "Uhh... Good afternoon. I... Uhm... I'm Helena... Helena Tomlin and I am here because I am the new dishwasher." I said meekly, deliberately giving my mother's maiden name as my own surname. She just raised her brow and walked towards the elevator. She motioned me to come and I struggled to walk after her. "So you're the one..." I heard her murmur to herself. "The one?" I asked. "Huh?" She seemed to be in trance. "Forget about it." She walked out of the elevator and opened the first door to the right. "This is the sleeping quarter." I saw ten single beds and small wooden cabinets. The room is quite small and very simple but it will do for a few months. Three girls are seated on their respected beds and were currently chattering when we entered. They stopped laughing and talking when they saw us. All of them stood up. "Girls, this is Helena and she will be your new workmate." She said seriously. "Oh hi! I am Jenny." The gray eyed and olive skinned brunette smiled at me, she must be on her early twenties and she has the body and face of a model. "I am Tamara." Another brunette but with pale freckly skin greeted me, her green eyes shining with curiosity. She looked like she's just around fifteen or sixteen but she looked tall. "I am Cassy and it's not nice seeing you in here." Blonde girl who must be just around my age smirked. Her icy blue eyes shooting daggers at me. I flinched and remembered the bullies that I left on Jacksonville. Three of them were already dead and I am praying that they will be the only ones. "There are no more beds available at the sleeping quarter so I will put you on a different room where you will be staying alone." She said and I just nodded. I hope she won't put me on the utility closet. "That would be good." I smiled and prayed that the room will be as good as this. She led me to a room that is so much bigger than the other sleeping quarters. The room is much bigger than the other room and it only contained one bed, a study table with a lamp, a wall closet and a personal bathroom. The bed is actually queen sized and is draped with red linen. I suddenly wondered if Cerise, the woman who brought me here, is mistaken and brought me to the wrong room. "You actually seem nice. I wonder why..." She stopped and turned around. "Your uniform is on the closet. Wear it while you're on duty. Shift is from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Aside from those times, you are free to roam around the city but be sure to do your job well or I will personally kick you out." She said and exited my room. "Hey!" I heard a voice call me and I turned around to see the three girls I saw earlier. "Hey." I said. "Wow! This room is really big. Even bigger than Cerise's room." Tamara said and sat on the bed. "i wonder why is that so." Cassy said and walked past through me. An air of arrogance hanging around her. "Cerise told me that there are no available beds on the sleeping quarters anymore so she let me use this." I said. "huh? what are you talking about? Only five beds are occupied on the quarter. Boys sleep on a different room and there are only five stay in employees here." Jenny said. "Uhm.. i don't know." I said. "I can't believe this. And I even had to share bed with Tamara when I first got here because no bed is available." Cassy spat rather viciously, jealousy burning on her eyes. "Forget about that, Cassy. Maybe because Helena is a special case that Delilah let her stay in here" Jenny smiled. "That b***h? never in a million years!" Cassy grimaced. "Huh? She actually seems nice. I met her earlier." I said. "You what?!" The three of them shouted in unison. "You met her?!" Jenny seems to recover first. "Yes. She's a good lady." I smiled. "But no one on this place ever met her except for Cerise." Tamara said. I frowned. "So you never met her?" "No." They shook their heads. "Maybe she's just shy to show her face." I said. Maybe she's just like me. Bullied because of her fashion sense. I nodded mentally. Yes. That is the reason. (Delilah's POV) "I already sent her to her room." Cerise said and I looked at her. "Good. You may go now." I dismissed her and dialled my brother's number. "What?" He said on the other end of the line. "When are you planning to visit me here?" I asked sweetly. "I am quite busy. Is Helena okay?" He asked and I grinned. "Of course. I would never mess with your doll, brother." "Good. I may be visiting sooner or later... Thank you dear sis." Then he ended the line. I grinned. Always being the sweet little brother that he is. I'm sorry Helena. You seem nice but you are going to be ruined by my brother and I pity you for that. (Someone's POV) "Just a little more time and we will be reunited at last, my sweet little Obsession...." I purred and smiled wickedly at my Helena's picture on my phone.
