Lena got to the court house early, she was sitting and bouncing her leg a bit until she saw Alex walking down the stairs of one area, talking with someone and he was talking adamantly. He nodded to the lady who looked like had been crying and he showed her to the elevator before pulling out his phone. She felt her phone in her pocket vibrate and she pulled it out and saw him calling so she hit the green button. "I see you, should I come to you?" She asked and he started to look around until his eyes hit her. "I'll come to you." He started moving right away and before he was within two feet of her he hung up and smiled. She could see it now, his entire appeal. He was tall, when he smiled it went right into his eyes. His brothers were all versions of him. She could see how all of them were attractive. Dorian was tall and muscular, more so than Alex, almost intimidating. Hector exuded the same type of confidence, he had looked her up adn down a few times before he seemed to back off. Mateo had his smile, the dimples, the way it went right into his eyes... the way Mateo's smile worked was like he was hiding something. The same but different. Luca seemed to have the same type of love for arguing. She had seen that multiple times during the card games, if he thought his brothers were cheating he was just as vocal about it like Alex was when it seemed to bother him or affect only him. And then there was Lukas. He was quiet like Alex was. Lena saw him focusing on the card games just like his brother, some of the mannerisms were the same as well, the rubbing of his wrists, the way he bit the corner of his lips... she had seen Alex do that a lot. No matter how well his brothers seem to be like him, she knew there was only Alex. At least for her. He was everything she used to wish for in a guy. Back when she was little and she used to think about her future husband in Sunday school she always wanted someone tall, a Greek man, someone to share her passions, which back then were coloring and helping her mother in the kitchen, and to listen to her when she talks. There were some things she had added onto the list a while ago, like someone who didn't want her to give up her job, someone who didn't want to rush her into a relationship. Lena wanted Alex, she wanted him in more ways than one, and she just had to make sure that even after her meeting his mother and brothers, he wanted to take her on ad ate again... or still. Alex and Lena were sitting in the court house waiting for their case number to be called. When it was, he escorted her up to the table, hand on the small of her back, and he made sure that she was set up before he looked around. The judge was on his way, when things got started he would have to stay focused, but all he could think about right now was asking her if she was staying in New York passed graduation. Gabriel told him not to ask before the case let out for the day, but it was eating at him. So, he turned his head, looked at her slightly nervous posture and he reached closer so she would look towards him. "I don't think I can remember the answer, or if I even asked you, but are you going to back to Boston when you graduate?" Lena was surprised, she wasn't sure if she told him or not, but she could see something on his face, like he really needed to have an answer, and for her it was an east one. "No... Angie and I wanted to move to New York, so we did. I plan on staying here as long as I can find work." "Good." He nodded and before he could say something else, the bailiff was announcing the judge so they all stood, in silence, as the judge entered. They took their seats when allowed, and Alex stood up to deliver the proof of evidence, and once the judge ruled that it was enough for the case, and asked how the former mayor pleaded, they were told when the next session would come to terms, and how it would go from there. In reality she didn't have to be here for this, but Monday was spaced out for her and she had the ability. Tomorrow she and Alex would be in court most of the day, and she couldn't wait to be helpful. Alex walked out of the building with her on his arm, and he made sure to keep her tight against his side. "What are your plans for the rest of the day?" He asked wanting to see her for longer than 45 minutes. "Just going home and doing homework. I am sure I have it all done already but I... other than that I am free." She shrugged after a moment and looked around, they were at the corner and she looked around a bit trying not to look at him to see where this was going. "Would you have dinner with me?" Alex was worried how that sounded. In his own mind it made him feel like the first time he asked a girl out to the carnival.  His confidence when asking out someone he really liked always wavered. He could stand in front of murders and push them to their limits in court, but asking out Lena, it almost made him sweat. If he could have her that would change, he would be happy and never nervous around her again... he would be for her what his father was for his mother. A protector, someone who was there for her, someone who would share the burdens of life.  The thought of how serious he felt about her almost rocked him to his core, but for him, if it wasn't serious he wouldn't be this nervous. "Dinner? Like out somewhere?" She asked him slowly and he looked over her face when she finally looked at him. "Yeah. There are a few nice places I would love to take you to." He told her and he was happy to see her blush as she realized that he really meant a date. "I'd like that. Any place you are thinking of now?" She asked him and he nodded slowly before they heard the beep that they could walk across the street. "I was thinking an Italian restaurant... it's around down town. I can pick you up after you're done with all your work. I have a few reports to turn in before 5pm, so I can be ready by 6:30 if that is ok with you." Alex told her and she nodded slowly and bit her tongue. She was getting excited, her face was heating up, and even if that was still 4 and a half hours away she would probably spend half of that trying to find something to wear that was decent enough for down town. He walked her to the train, told her that he would let her know when he was leaving and call when he was outside. He smiled and and watched the train take off before he headed back to his office. He had one of the guys in there for an hour today, and then he took off and promised to be ready by next Wednesday when their court sessions started. He went home, glad the maid he hired was working today because that meant his dry cleaning was in his closet and he had more clothes to choose from. He showered, shaved, got dressed in black slacks, a nice white shirt, and a black jacket. He texted her that he was on his way and when he got there in the cab, he had already picked up flowers and made sure they had a reservation as well as a car to get back to their places. He got there, flowers in hand, called up using the box outside and her friend Angie buzzed him up. He heard her shouting before the call box cu her voice off. Lena was rushing to do her hair. She wanted it in light waves, nothing like her usual curls, and she was almost done. She had shaved her legs so she could wear a nice dress Angie was letting her barrow. It was a deep blue with a slightly plunging neck line. She had her best and probably most expensive earrings in, Angie made sure she did her makeup perfectly. And while Lena wasn't used to it all, she had to keep reminding herself not to wipe her face or rub at anything so she wouldn't smear it. She was in heels, she would be up to his chin in them, and she made sure she had cash, her ID, her credit card and a small bag of tissues just in case. Not to mention her lipstick in the same shade as what was on her lips. Apparently it was actually called Opinionated and Angie brought it just for her on her way home today. Angie had quit yet another job today just so she could come home and help Lena get ready. It was ridiculous that she did it, but according to Angie she could get a job any time she wanted, but seeing Lena off to a date was like seeing stars in the city... only happened very few times. Lena was just about to finish her last three parts when Angie called that he was at the door, and she bounced her knees as she slowly slid the flat iron down her hair and then took the second to last strand and started it. "Aww, look at those flowers. Come on, I am sure she's just putting on the last of her lipstick." Angie's voice carried out, for some reason she lied about what Lena was doing but it didn't matter, she was almost done, and she wanted to get out of here before Angie started in on her questions. "You have got to be Angelina. She says you like to work." Angie snorted and laughed before she sighed. "I don't mean that in an offensive way-" "Oh I know. I like to be called Angie, and I do have a long resume. I have to update that tonight actually while you're out with my best friend." Angie sized the Greek god up. He was tall, hot, and something in Angie wanted to like him... but not until she knew what his intentions were. "So... what are you doing with my best friend?" "Taking her out on a date." Alex didn't seem to get the question so Angie just smiled. "Just one? Are you looking for something serious? Are you looking to settle down? Are you going to be like crazy and stalk her or make her work at your firm or something?" "Angie?" They both turned to the bathroom door that was slightly opened and Angie smiled at Alex before sauntering over. "You will stop that." Lena whispered but Alex was able to hear and he smiled softly. "What I am doing... is taking out a girl, a woman," he changed when he saw how Angie seemed piqued at the wording he used, "a woman who has not only impressed me, but has made me want more from her. I am taking her on a date, we are going to get to know each other better. We will decide after tonight where this might go, but as of right now I hope it just leads to a second date." Alex answered for both Angie and Lena to hear. He wanted her to know he wanted more than just this date. He liked her enough to date exclusively and long term as it was with just what little he did know and like about her. "See that is a good answer, why can't all men be that upfront on what they want." Angie put her hands up, then let them both come down and slap her thighs. Lena opened the door and let Angie see her to make sure everything was okay, before she walked out just a bit. She looked from Angie right to Alex as she stepped out fully, dressed and ready to go. She saw he was still holding the mixed colored roses. His eyes went up and down her body like he was taking her all in and all with a smile. His eyes reached hers and he stepped up, "You look beautiful. And these are all for you." He handed over the roses and she smiled, it looked like an expensive bouquet of red, two types of pink, white and purple roses. She wasn't sure where he could have gotten them, but they smelled so good. She smelled them and smiled before looking around for a vase. "I will get them in water and put them away... you guys go get your dinner date started." Angie took them from her, giving her a wink before watching Alex hold out his hand. Lena felt the warmth of his hand seep into hers as she took it and she wasn't even sure why her hands were so cold. She had his help putting her jacket on before they both left, and Angie was there, looking at the flower and hoping her friend had so much fun she didn't come home until tomorrow morning.
