Chapter 1 A normal life "Wake up Sylvia, you're gonna be late again" aunt Leah yelled. "Coming ma " Sylvia replied as she groaned . she got up from bed and cleaned herself up then she wore some nice denim baggy trousers and a nice blue crop top with a denim jacket and her school bag to go. As she came downstairs, she took her Breakfast to go but she was stopped by her aunt . "hope you didn't forget anything this Time because I won't help you deliver anything to school this time" "I didn't mom , thanks for caring love you byeeeeee" and she went out the door. she ran as fast as she could to the bus stop and lucky for her , she was just in time she sat on a single chair and opened the window beside her then she started to eat her breakfast which was bread and beacon, her favorite breakfast. as she was eating, a notification popped up on her phone.it was a notification about a talent show in her city and she was estatic. About an hour later, the school bus arrived at her school and everyone was already getting off the bus. as she got down, a stressed look covered her face"now I have to deal with those morons" she thought. Sylvia walked down the hallway and headed straight to her locker to pick up her textbooks for her first class when someone slammed her locker shut at her face." just as I'd expected, the terrible twins"she thought as she let out a sigh as she faced them blankly and asked "how may I help the two rotten princess of great people academy". "fiesty are we today?I think it's time we make you remember who we are" Daniella Monet replied. Daniella Monet is the daughter of Mr Martin Monet a great and influential businessman in the society and currently the second best company in the country. "you betcha girl" her friend Layla replied. Layla smith is a super model and a social media influencer with 30 million followers on all social platforms, she also comes from a rich family and the both literally ruled the school. "For once can you two behave like normal teenagers for like two minutes to see how rotten you people are" Sylvia snapped. but they didn't listen to her instead Layla walked up to her and shoved her making her fall to the ground. then, Daniella poured her morning latte all over Sylvia's clothes and her hair. Then, everyone in the hallway started laughing at her and no one was willing to help her because they all see her as a commoner. as she was about to cry, Daniella bent over to her"hopefully this will teach you some manners" then she smirked and stood up. when Daniella was about to leave, she stopped in her tracks. she signalled the girl carrying her things to give her her homework and she obeyed swiftly. She took a look at Sylvia and dumped the books on her head "these homeworks better be done before sundown ELSE....." and she left. Sylvia stood up and reached for her extra clothes in her Locker and went to the washroom to change. when she was done she realized that she was already late to class so she quickly packed her things and left the washroom.when she entered the class, class had already started. As she sat down, some girls started to laugh at her and some started whispering "Ugh she soo pathetic" "look at how ugly she is, so poor." "I heard this morning that the school queens embarrassed her today" "serves her right for messing with people way beyond her league" "They literally have the power over this school". As they continued to whisper, Sylvia felt like the world should come to an end. she often blamed herself for her misfortune and felt lonely. when class was over, she excused herself to the restroom, she hid in a stall and bawled her eyes out and she renewed her determination to become someone rich and powerful through her talent and swore revenge on the both of them. When it was recess, as usual she sat alone and surprising felt better after eating her lunch. as she was applying for a job on her phone a voice echoed in her ears. "is this seat taken?" she looked up to see Kyle Larson, her best friend . Kyle was alsoa scholarship student at Great People Academy (GPA). they easily bonded like twin siblings and are always there for each other. Kyle noticed the look on Sylvia's face and knew something was wrong. "what's wrong Sylvia? you don't look too good"Kyle asked concerned but she just shrugged and said nothing. Kyle let out a long sigh and said "is it because of what Daniella and Layla did to you this morning?" Then she looked at him with tears in her eyes and nodded. Kyle kindly gave her a warm hug and Sylvia felt a bit better. "Are you happy now?"he asked with a funny tone and Sylvia looked up at him smiling while nodded her head like a little kid."that's my baby girl" he added then Sylvia spoke. "You know very well that's a lie" "And you just had to ruin the moment didn't you" Kyle replied. they both looked at each other and burst out laughing. School was over and Sylvia took the nearest cab to her workplace where she worked part time as a waitress at a very expensive restaurant, you could say that she was a lucky girl for her age. the salary was more than enough for her and aunt Leah.as she entered, she immediately took her uniform and headed to the changing room. fifteen minutes later as she was just cleaning the tables, they had a celebrity guest whose name is Tiffany Moon. Tiffany Moon was 3 times more influential and popular than Layla and she was a fashion icon recognized by everyone, well everyone except from Sylvia. Tiffany was a new celebrity so she didn't know much about her and she hoped that she wouldn't mess things up today because her boss had already warned her that one last mistake and she was fired and she couldn't afford to loose the high pay so she promised herself to do her best. As Tiffany walked towards her seat with bodyguards guarding her every move, she sat down and admired the building."ooh this place looks fancy, I must say mr manager you sure have good taste." "Yes Miss Moon, well this is our VIP menu we would like to know if you would want to order anything" the manager replied "I'll surely let you know sir " she replied with a warm smile. when the manager left, she started to go through the menu and two minutes later she sighed"I'm bored, can anyone sing here?" and since none of bthe employees replied her she said"well then, I'll just have to call your manager and give him a piece of my mind, hmph". she smirked as she took out her phone and out of panic, they threw Sylvia to the front. "here's our best singer ma'am, Sylvia Plath". she dropped her phone and spoke "so Sylvia, you can sing?" and Sylvia was shocked to realize that she was standing in front of a super star then she became really nervous."Y-Y-Yes ma'am"she replied stuttering. Tiffany realized that she was nervous so, she sat her down and made her do some breathing exercises before she could sing and it made Sylvia feel alot better."okay, here goes nothing".........
