Noor vs Sid Encounter 2

Its not been a long time when I joined this company and I worked really very hard to earn this recognition. I am super excited and happy today.
And I am really looking forward for this meeting.
I was still lost in my thoughts, when suddenly the door of meeting room opened and Mr.CEO entered. All stood up in respect for Mr. CEO including Mr. Thakur.
But me is me.
Stupid Me!
I was so immersed in my thoughts that I didn’t sense his arrival and remained lost in my thoughts.
Noticing me unmoved from my seat on CEO’s arrival, Satya Sir elbowed me. Then only my train of thought came to a halt.
I jolted out with his sudden actions and eyed him as ‘what???’
Watching my lost state, he chuckled slightly and gestured with his eyes to look towards the direction of the door, and then only I realized that Mr. Malhotra has already arrived.
Oh Shhit….
I quickly stood up on my feet from the chair. Thank god he didn’t saw me in my zoned out state.
Satya sir chuckled again and shook his head in disbelief.
When Mr. Malhotra cross passed us and went toward his seat smilingly, then my eyes landed on the very next person following behind Mr.CEO taking slow steps towards us.
‘Huh’
‘What the….??’
‘Am I hallucinating?’
‘No No No No….this must be a false notion.’
‘Is he the same person that I met in lift in the morning?’
‘Oh God’
‘This day is turning into the worst day ever.’
He was giving small smiles to Satya Sir and Mr. Thakur and then he looked towards me.
He stopped in his tracks when he reached in front of me.
‘Stopped Again!’
‘Why this guy always stops when he sees me.’
‘Is he again staring me?’
‘Is there something odd on my face?’ I thought these to myself.
Our eyes locked for fraction of seconds. He looked surprised.
I think he is surprised on seeing me in this meeting.
Then his slightly smiling features turned sour.
I too recalled the incident from the morning.
My heart was also raging in anger, but I somehow composed my thoughts and ignored him by turning my eyes away from him.
But he was still looking towards me, I can sense it.
I can sense his burning stares on my face.
After few seconds he moved toward Mr. CEO.
I glanced on his moving figure.
‘What the hell!’
‘Why is he here?’
‘Does he works in our company?’
‘I didn’t know that.’
We three greeted our CEO Mr.Malhotra, ‘Good Morning’ and he smiled widely toward us and replied to our greetings, “Good Morning, please take your seats.”
And we all sat in our respective seats.
That i***t also sat down to our opposite side.
‘Stop looking towards that i***t. Focus on your meeting with CEO’
My mind warned me.
‘Oh yes.’
‘I should concentrate on Mr.CEO’
“Yes, shall we start” Mr. Malhotra said.
“Yes Sir” again we all said in unison.
“Ok, first of all let me introduce you to this young man. This is Sid, my dear friend’s son.
He has recently completed his MBA. He wanted to do a start up so my friend requested me to be his mentor.
So he is joining us from today.”
Mr.CEO was giving us an intro about him and reason of his joining. ‘As if we care.’
‘Sid, huh’
‘Start up my foot’
‘Jerk’
I mentally rolled my eyes on him.
“Now let me come on main point of this meeting. Our company is going online.
And we have to do a grand App-Launch for our very first online application for our fashion products. Everything should be on a grand scale. We are going to do a big fashion show with this App-Launch. All big business tycoons and celebrities will be invited. This App-Launch should be full of entertainment.” He said last few lines with dreamy eyes.
“Oh wow” Satya Sir squealed in excitement.
Mr CEO nodded in affirmation and then continued looking towards Sid’s direction, “Sid I need you to organize this grand launch event. This will be your assignment.”
As CEO’s words left his mouth, we all nodded in response.
I turned my eyes in that i***t’s direction and I saw him frowning.
‘He is frowning.’
‘Why?’
‘Is he not happy with Mr. Malhotra’s decision?’
‘Why should I bother?’
‘To hell with him.’
Then Mr. Malhotra turned his eyes towards Mr. Thakur and asked, “Mr. Thakur, I asked you for providing us with your best person that will guide and help Sid with this App-Launch Event. Have you decided who will take this responsibility?”
Now we all were looking towards Mr. CEO and Mr.Thakur.
‘BEST PERSON…Huuh’
‘To guide and help this i***t’
‘In the GRAND APP-LAUNCH EVENT’
I guess… no actually I have full confidence that Mr. Thakur will definitely recommend Satya Sir for this BIG EVENT. He is capable in all aspects of doing all sort of work without any hassle. He is the best person indeed.
‘But why did Mr. Thakur asked me to join them today in this meeting?’
I wondered!
‘Maybe to help Satya Sir.’
‘Yes definitely.’
‘What else.’
I assumed in my head.
After Mr. Malhotra asked Mr. Thakur for best person, he first looked towards Satya Sir and then in my direction.
And he smiled.
‘He smiled’
‘Why is he smiling?’
It’s kind of weird.
May be he is also thinking about Satya Sir.
And then he again looked in Satya Sir’s direction and spoke, “Satya is already involved in so many assignments. So I guess he will not be able to focus on this new and grand assignment”
He paused for a while and then looked in my direction and continued, “So I decided that Rabnoor will be doing this assignment on behalf of Admin Department.”
