Preparing For a Birthday

Jesse and Jerry's POV

" Tomorrow is our future mate's big day. I hope she likes the gift we bought her," sighs Jesse as they are waking up to face their day.

" Yeah but we have to wait for a whole nother month before we can claim her officially, " pouts Jerry.

" That is why we got her the diamond promise ring," claims Jesse excitedly.

" We better get ready, today we are taking our beautiful mate shopping for the perfect dress for tomorrow," Jerry reminds his brother.

" We should take her out to breakfast," suggests Jesse.

" Hey Mom, Would it be okay if we take Wendy out to breakfast before we take her shopping? Jerry mindlinks their Mom.

" Are your chores done? " she asked predictably.

" We already showered, cleaned our rooms, and made our beds," Jesse answered their Mom.

" Then yes you may take her to breakfast. While you are out you should pick me up Starbucks coffee and try to see how she feels about her family coming here later today for her birthday," suggests Mom.

" Yes Ma'am," They cheer together.

" Let's go wake up our beautiful angel and take her shopping," suggests Jerry happily.

" I'm with you, my brother."

knock knock

"It's time for our lovely angel to rise and shine," the twins declare together waking Wendy up from a peaceful slumber.

" Good morning our lovely angel we desire to take you out to breakfast and then shopping for a lovely outfit for tomorrow," informs Jesse with a bright boyish grin with his brother nodding in agreement.

" You two are too much happy this early and did I hear breakfast?" asked Wendy with a yawn and a playful smile. You know I am teasing but if we are going out for breakfast you have to leave my room so I can get ready," insists Wendy.

" We will be right outside the door waiting for you," Jerry promised while Wendy shoved them out the door.

Meanwhile... Wanda's POV

" I can't believe I have to have a guard to go see my sister and future mates, " whines Wanda while riding in the car with her Mom and Leo.

" Luna Mala agreed to allow you to come for a visit on the condition you have supervision from your doctor and a parent since your father is still residing in the dungeon that leaves me. Alpha Vaughn is allowing Piper and Petey to tag along because he feels they deserve to see their other sister on such a momentous occasion. You need to be on your best behavior while we are on this trip. You and your sister turn eighteen tomorrow and will be able to feel the mate bond with these two. Sorry, but if you screw this up tomorrow then I will be done with you. You will be an adult and no longer my problem. As a matter of fact, maybe I can convince your sister to forgive me and allow me and the other two to stay on," says Wanda's mom bitterly.

" No worries mommy dearest, once I hook up with one of the twins I will remember what you said. It will be tragic if something bad happens to little miss perfect and I get the Luna title all to myself," laughs Wanda cynically.

" Wanda honey you know Momma loves you and we don't want to do anything rash," my Mom warns.

" Wanda, do well to remember that this trip is your chance to prove to the world You don't need to join Luna Karen in the Ashes or your father in the dungeon," Warns Leo who is in the front seat next to Percy.

" Sissy, you promised when Alpha Grace rescued our family that you would be a good sister and better person," reminds Petey chastising his older sister.

" You are so right, little brother, please forgive me," begged Wanda feigning sorrow.

" Don't worry Petey, our sister won't let us down," said Piper with a wink to her little brother.

" Thanks for your vote of confidence little sister," says Wanda sweetly.

" Don't mention it," says Piper curtly while putting a protective arm around Petey.

Grace's pov...

"Dad said that a protective guard is escorting Wanda to Saddlebrook Pack. I pray she doesn't do anything reckless. Dad thinks that her father being locked up and her no longer being a minor will be enough to force her to grow up and act like an adult, " I tell John while we drive to Saddlebrook a day early to help Wendy prepare for her big day.

"We can only hope, but given you are with a pup, Tony and Scott will be your constant shadows. When you are not with me then you will have them close by. I like having gay bodyguards for you, "John tells me as he drives.

"I am glad David is our Beta and will be taking care of the pack while we are out of town. It is good that he will be busy since he used to date Wendy, it would make it awkward for him to have come with us," I say to John as I think about how much better our life has been away from Flintwood.

"Do you regret your decision to be my Luna at Bellfield rather than the Alpha at Flintwood?"John asked me curiously.

"Honey, as much as I love my parents, I don't miss the challenges of leading a pack with the mindset that most of Flintwood have. I am happy being your Luna and taking college courses while working on my magic. Are you okay with taking the reigns of the pack that was your father's and has needed to be reorganized?" I ask him honestly curious.

"Darling we are leaders of a pack that is prospering and being molded to fit who we are and our beliefs. It means a lot to me to bring honor to my family name and be my own person. I think that we have a community that accepts each other as is and the ability to be who and what we are as individuals are remarkable. We are setting an example of acceptance of diversity can work and make a better community that thrives," states John proudly.

"I think we are almost there and you are definitely correct. I am grateful that you are happy with our choice, "I tell him with a kiss on the cheek.
