DC Paterson worked his way through the transactions in the bank account Lewis had designated as his wool account. It was tedious work, but one of Wayne’s favourite stories was how the FBI had used accounting records to bust Al Capone for tax evasion, and he wanted to bust Tom Cotton.
Wayne knew it would take forever to trace the payments into the account. They were all cash deposits which had been made at different branches of the bank across the country. Just thinking about the logistics of organizing the security camera recordings and trying to identify the people involved gave him a headache.
