Chapter 12
Alpha Kane's POV
I knew she was up to no good the moment my heart felt like it would split in half. Violet from the few days that I'd known her had a few screws loose, which explained the boundaries that she crossed.
But was she stabbing herself in the heart just to hurt me? It was insane but not impossible for someone who slapped the alpha to prove a point.
The pain was one I couldn't ignore, not when it seemed to be dragging me closer to my maker by the second. I would be dead and I wouldn't even know how, so I got up to my feet and went after her.
My mind led me to the kitchen. It's the only place I could find a knife, but the stabbing pain in my heart hardened, twisted and with no traces of her inside the house, I made my way out and into the forest.
