A boy from a standard school accidentally walks through a dynamic, shimmering portal in a hallway, leading him into the chaotic gymnasium of a monstrous alternate-dimension school. In this new world, he watches a "monster boy"—a student with distinct monster traits like grey skin and small horns, named Kai—fight an overwhelming swarm of seventy-eight diverse and bizarre creatures, ranging from winged imps and goblin-like figures to shadow monsters and sentient blobs. The action is frantic, with Kai utilizing dual energy blades, surrounded by the massive horde on a cracked gym floor, all under the curious and chaotic eyes of other observing monster students.

wrong door to gym
### The Wrong Door to Gym Class Leo was just trying to get to third-period biology. He was late, staring down at his phone, completely ignoring the familiar beige lockers of Westview High. That was his first mistake. His second mistake was not stopping when the air in the hallway suddenly smelled like ozone and burnt sugar. Right between Room 204 and the water fountain, the air rippled. It wasn't a subtle trick of the light; it was a dynamic, shimmering portal—a tear in reality that pulsed with swirling violet and gold energies. Distracted and rushing, Leo stepped right through it. The transition was instantaneous and violently loud. The fluorescent hum of his school was instantly replaced by a deafening, echoing roar. Leo stumbled forward, his sneakers catching on deep, jagged fissures in what looked like a gymnasium floor made of obsidian. He looked up, his phone slipping from his hand and clattering to the ground. He wasn't in Westview High anymore. ### The Monstrous Pep Rally The gymnasium was cavernous, illuminated by floating orbs of sickly green fire. The bleachers were packed, but not with teenagers in varsity jackets. They were filled with monsters—multi-eyed beasts, towering minotaurs wearing letterman jackets, and ethereal spirits cheering with voices that sounded like scraping metal. But the real spectacle was on the cracked gym floor. In the center of the chaos stood a boy who looked roughly Leo's age. His skin was an ashen grey, and two small, jagged horns curled from his forehead. He held his ground with an effortless, predatory stance. This was Kai. In his hands, Kai gripped two hilts that projected **crackling, dual energy blades**—one blindingly blue, the other a searing crimson. He needed them, because closing in around him was an overwhelming swarm of exactly seventy-eight bizarre, nightmarish creatures. The horde was a chaotic blend of dimensions: * **Winged Imps:** Swooping down from the rafters like aggressive, leathery bats, screeching as they dove. * **Goblin-like figures:** Skittering across the cracked floor on all fours, brandishing rusted scrap metal and snapping needle-toothed jaws. * **Shadow Monsters:** Slithering along the obsidian floor, rising into 2D silhouettes that tried to wrap around Kai's ankles. * **Sentient Blobs:** Trembling mounds of acidic, neon-pink ooze that lunged forward, trying to engulf anything in their path. ### The Swarm Strikes With a collective shriek, the swarm collapsed inward. Kai moved in a blur. He spun on his heel, the blue blade carving a perfect, humming arc through the air, repelling a vanguard of goblins in a shower of sparks. An imp dive-bombed his blind spot, but Kai didn't even look; he flicked his wrist backwards, swatting the creature out of the air with the flat of his crimson blade. The action was absolutely frantic. Kai was a dancer in a mosh pit of monsters. He leaped over a lunging puddle of pink slime, landing lightly on a chunk of upended floorboard. Two shadow beasts whipped tendrils at his legs, but he crossed his blades, creating a shockwave of energy that shattered the shadows back into the floor. Every time it looked like Kai was about to be overrun by the sheer mass of the seventy-eight creatures, he unleashed a flurry of strikes, pushing the tide back. The bleachers erupted. The monstrous student body stamped their feet, the rhythmic booming shaking the very foundation of the gym, cheering for the grey-skinned boy as he held the line. Leo stood frozen by the portal, clutching his backpack straps so tightly his knuckles were white. He watched a goblin get launched past him, skidding across the floor and knocking over a rack of what looked like spiked dodgeballs. Kai paused for a fraction of a second, his chest heaving, his energy blades humming loudly in the brief lull. His solid black eyes darted toward the edge of the gym, locking directly onto Leo. For a moment, the human boy from Westview High and the monster boy in the arena just stared at each other. Then, a winged imp screeched, diving for Kai's head, and the frantic chaos resumed. Leo backed up slowly toward the shimmering violet light of the portal, realizing that wherever he was, they definitely played a different kind of dodgeball.
