Jessie

Kinley fairly glowed as they headed to the training ring, waving to those she knew well in the pack house and ignoring the few she quite despised, her power showing her their true motives in trying to get to know her. When they reached the ring her father went ashen and Kinley wondered why. A quick glance at the ring and she spotted none other than Jessie who was lapping up all the attention she was receiving from various admirers, all of them unmated and unmarked males of course. "Dad as long as she doesn't start anything it will be fine" she said calmly but he looked unconvinced and she shrugged. She'd tried. She saw Jessie toss her blonde hair over her shoulder, her pearly white teeth almost glowing in the sunlight as she laughed at something one of the young men said to her. She was the very epitome of what most men seemed to desire, from the long blonde hair, to the honey golden skin and the slight toned figure she possessed. Kinley had once longed to be like that when she was younger, be like the females in the movies and the tv series until she'd woken up one day and realised just how much those women relied on men to save them. She didn't want to be a damsel in distress and from that day whenever she did make believe she'd been the hero, even sometimes saving the prince as the princess to her father's amusement and approval. Without her father and her mother's love she wouldn't be the self confident and self loving woman she was today. Jessie noticed her and Kinley saw her father visibly tense as the blonde came bouncing up, a broad smile on her face. "Kinley" she said sweetly "long time no see" she added and Kinley sighed. Not long enough for her liking. "Jessie" she said through gritted teeth, watching her father hasten to the other side of the ring. Traitor she thought glowering at the back of him. "It's so nice to see you again. How have you been" she added, not really caring and half listening as Jessie waffled on and on. She heard her father's voice booming from the centre of the ring. "Listen up" he boomed as everyone fell silent "I want you to split up into pairs and be prepared to spar against each other. No one is to team up with friends, better if it's someone you don't know well or haven't sparred with before. You have five minutes" he declared and watched as everyone began to mutter amongst themselves, obediently doing what he'd ordered. Kinley was about to walk away when she saw everyone else had partnered up, leaving her and Jessie as the last two. She cursed, forgetting Jessie's presence in front of her. Of all the rotten luck. Her father clearly noticed as well. "Kinley" he called "how about I find you a different partner" he suggested, eying the crowd but stilling as Jessie called out to him. "No need" she yelled "I'll spar with Kinley. It would be a pleasure" she cried out and Kinley rolled her eyes. She would have preferred to spar with someone else, didn't trust Jessie as far as she could throw her but had no choice in the matter. As the Alpha's daughter, everyone catered to Jessie's wants regardless of how they felt. She bit the inside of her lip and nodded at her father who was looking pale and a little green around the edges. He couldn't afford to refuse though and gave Kinley a small nod before turning back to the crowd and giving them numbers in the order they would spar. Kinley was content to watch the sparring, cheering for those she knew and even shaking hands afterwards. Some of the men were very appreciative but she ignored them. She always loved watching, quite often to pick up new moves that she would then get her father to demonstrate to her after. Then she heard her name being called along with Jessies and stood up, Jessie already waiting in the centre and tapping her foot impatiently. "Remember this is sparring in human form only" her father reminded Jessie who gave a big huff but agreed. Kinley couldn't shift so the warning was really only for Jessie anyway. Jessie pounced and Kinley swivelled to the left, avoiding the punch Jessie directed her way and instead thrusting her hand right into her stomach as Jessie gave an angry growl. She blocked Jessie's next attack and kicked her behind the knee, making the girl falter, before doing a roundhouse kick which sent Jessie flying to the floor. Jessie might be stronger due to her wolf but Kinley was more flexible and adaptable in a fight. She reacted instinctively in a fight and her instincts never let her down. She heard Jessie scream at her, clearly angry at being showed up and then without thinking as the girl ran up, leaving her face wide open, swung her fist and hit her nose directly, a loud cracking noise sounding as blood spurted out and Kinley realised she'd broken the girl's nose yet again. "You b***h" Jessie screamed, holding her nose and backing away, her eyes glaring as Kinley stood there speechless. She wasn't about to apologise for sparring. If Jessie had done the same to her it would have been well deserved and Kinley would have accepted her mistake and moved on. Sadly Jessie was not of the same mindset, even as Kinley saw her father yelling at Jessie to stand down, that she'd been beaten and to leave the ring, she payed no heed, simply staring as Kinley fidgeted, waiting for what she sensed was about to happen. Sure enough as she'd suspected, Kinley heard the loud jarring noises of bones breaking and shifting to realign themselves into a wolf form, a large white and grey wolf standing in Jessie's place. Kinley didn't panic though, even as Jessie the wolf, suddenly took flight and leapt directly towards her.
