Louise let out a loud warning hyena laugh that told all her people of the danger.
“Cal, gather Zora and the other expectant mothers, along with the children. You, Miller, Ziggy, are to get them to safety and keep them that way.” Or ordered.
Cal went to argue, but Louise stepped in, “Do as your Alpha instructs, Calvin. Kendra, you and Brianna are to assist Calvin in anything he and Miller may need. Calvin is in charge.”
Cal’s eyes widened in shock. As much as he wanted to help his friends, loved ones, and new family, he knew that he was being given a great deal of responsibility. Louise was counting on him to keep her cackle’s future safe and damn it, he would do just that. “Let’s go.”
