CHAPTER 10
Jackson clawed and bit the spotted hyena before him. The second the soldier tilted his head at the wrong moment, Jackson took the advantage and ripped at the fucker’s throat. He heard the gurgle but didn’t stop to watch the man’s death as he leaped to another, rolling to the ground, and striking with his sharp teeth yet again, before the hyena could regain his balance.
With blood dripping from his chin and coating his tongue, Jackson looked around to see where he was needed. Or was just taking out a striped hyena as Louise, choosing to fight in her human form, stepped forward swinging her sword and slicing the head from the hyena’s body. Another hyena was racing towards her, Jackson shifted, shouting, “Louise! Behind!”
