CHAPTER 12
Jackson had gone as fast as he could, following the trail of the intruders. It wasn’t difficult to do, it was as if the idiots thought they would have all the time in the world to get to his mate and the others. That might have been true had they tossed in some of their better soldiers when they planned their distraction, but since they had been so overconfident, Jackson figured he would continue to let it work for him, and right now, he had hit pay dirt.
The group was sitting, apparently making a plan as they took a small rest. Funny how they had all underestimated Cal. That man had gotten a group of pregnant women and a bunch of children to walk, and keep walking, until they could get to safety. It said a lot for the kind of leader and the strong will Cal had within him. Jac
