CHAPTER 13
Jackson clawed and bit at the hyena’s shoulder, as Patrick got the animal’s hind end and side. It didn’t take them long to kill the beast under them and turn to see who was next.
Seeing no one else, Jackson shifted looking around the battle scene before. Many of Cass’s men had shifted back to their human form and were fighting either hand to hand combat or with swords.
Patrick rushed towards him tossing a sword, yelling, “Behind you!”
Jackson didn’t hesitate as he lifted his sword and swung around slicing the head off an enemy soldier’s body. He barely had time to move when another came his way. Patrick joined him fighting side by side as more men came their way.
