What Lurks In The Mist

After years have passed by and a girl named Ruby transformed into a young woman she is about 22 years old,with long red curled hair, her eyes are light orange they have been ever since she was born,she never felt like she belonged,she always got called fire demon or fire witch she never had any friends except for her black cat named Ghost he has always been her best friend,also since Ruby made it so Ghost is immortal and he can shape shift into a quiet ninja. As Ruby walks out of her town with Ghost to go exploring and to discover something new,but after a while went by she arrives at the barrier which is just at the start of a mist covered forest,which everyone knows that nobody can go past the barrier because it is forbidden and it is incredibly dangerous. The ones who have entered in The Forest Of Mist never return home so people have started rumours about it saying,If you go in the mist you will get immediately get killed by animals or you will go insane slowly and you will begin to see delusions,things that aren't actually there and you will end up dying of starvation and dehydration. As Ruby looked at Ghost and picked him up saying "Let's go explore in the mist what could go wrong"As Ruby and Ghost step over the barrier and into The Forest Of Mist,but just then she started hearing faint chatter,as she started following the chatter. After a few minutes passed the chatter got louder,but then she heard footsteps coming closer to her and then she felt somebody touch her on her left arm,as she jumped and looked right and quickly ran to find a safe place to hideout in,after 4 minutes went by she found a cave and hid in it with Ghost in her arms. But then she heard someone come into the cave and the person says in a soft voice "Hey Miss it's okay no need to be scared I won't harm you or your cat,but what are you doing in this area your far from home aren't you?Don't you live in the part of town that isn't covered in mist? Ruby then says in a shaky voice "W-Wh-Who Are Y-You?As Ghost hops out of Ruby's arms and starts acting like a bulldog protecting Ruby,as the guy looks down and laughs a bit and kneels down and pets the cat softly,then looks at the girl and says "I am Max who are you Miss?Ruby then says "I'm Ruby" Max then says "It is nice to meet you Ruby,so what made you want to step over the barrier into the mist?Ruby then says "I wanted to see if the rumours were true or not and right now they aren't true"Max curiously says "Rumours what kind of rumours have your towns people said"As Ruby says "Well they said that if people cross the barrier they will immediately get killed by animals or they will slowly become insane and start having delusions and they will end up dying of starvation and dehydration" As Max says "Hmm you must be a brave one from stepping through the barrier after hearing all those rumours,but anyways shouldn't you be getting home or to school to see your friends"Ruby then says "I live on my own now,also I don't have any friends except for my cat Ghost,I was always an outcast to everyone even the towns people didn't like me,because I was different from everyone,also if the rumours were true nobody would miss me except my parents they would miss me but that is it"As Ruby put her head down feeling upset but she managed to keep her sadness stable,as Max lights a candle with a candlestick holding the candle and puts it between the two of them,as Max sits down and holds the candlestick so she can see his face and so he can see her's. Max then looks into Ruby's eyes and says "Ruby your eyes are so beautiful"He then puts his hand on Ruby's left cheek,as Ruby's eyes turned a even brighter orange and it looked like a shimmering fire glowing in the night,as Ruby says "Thanks but I don't know why I even have orange eyes nobody in my family had them,my family said I was cursed to be a Pyro"As she said it confusingly not knowing what cursed to be a pyro meant. As Max says "Everyone has their odd problems but it makes them who they are and,don't be ashamed of who you are and,plus you might just be the luckiest one out of everyone that lives in the forest"As Ruby says "What do you mean by I might be the luckiest one out of everyone that lives here? Max then says "Let's just say that the people that live here are...Uhm more cursed"But just then Max heard himself being summoned back at the campsite,as Max continues to say "Come with me some of the people that live here aren't the nicest and they will harm you if I am not here to protect you,so come on I will take you to safety"As Ruby nods her head and picks up Ghost,as they start walking towards the campsite. After a little bit goes by Max,Ruby and Ghost arrive at the campsite, as a woman and a man walked up to them,as Max says "Why did you two want me to come so badly?As a woman says "We caught the scent of a unfamiliar human hybrid,but who did you bring with you she seems interesting"As the woman continues to say "Where are my manners,Hi I am Ivy and who might you be" As Max says "She is from the barrier her name is Ruby"As Ivy smiles and says "What is Ruby?Ruby then says confusingly"What do you mean by,What am I?The man then says kindly "What Ivy means by that is,do you have any special abilities" But then all of a sudden a man runs up behind Ruby and says in a low voice "Why hello you must be the human hybrid I've been tracking"As the man goes up closer to Ruby with his eyes glowing dark red and his fangs showing,as he cuts her a little bit on the arm as he smells her rich and powerful blood,as he then goes to bite her neck,but just the Ghost jumps out of Ruby's arms and shape shifts into a ninja with black clothes and glowing blue cat eyes,as Ghost grabs the vampire and pushes him away which it ends up making the vampire get thrown pretty far away. As Max,Ivy and Zane all look shocked because they have never seen a pet turn into a human,as Ghost walks over to the vampire he pushed and clawed the vampire with his sharp cat like claws,then he says "Stay away from my owner or I will end you"As Ghost walks back to Ruby and stands beside her making sure she doesn't get harmed,as he heals her cut on her arm. Zane then says "So cat do you have a name?And how are you able to shift into a human form?Ghost then says "I'm Ghost and Ruby gave me the power to protect her"As Ghost's fangs showed while he was talking,as he then shifted back into his cat form. As Max says "Ruby why don't you find a tent to sleep in for now,the tents that have a red light are not taken,the ones that have a blue light are taken,just walk forward and pick a tent to sleep in for the night and we can figure this stuff out in the morning okay"As Ruby nods her head and starts walking forward with Ghost,to the campsite and walks into a tent with a red light on,then it turns blue once they enter inside showing the name of who it belongs to on the inside and outside of it.
