*Jaspers POV*
My soul bonded. They looked my way as the door creaked open. The lady was sitting on top of him, straddling him as he was just sitting there. My mind went blank and the first thing I said was, "S-sorry!" Tears formed in the corners of my eyes as my voice got caught in my throat. I slammed the door shut with a loud bang and I heard Mr. Floyd shouted my name from the inside. "Jasper!" followed with a thud. I just ran. I ran away. I didn't stop. I was running so fast I passed William on the way out of the building. "Wha- Jasper!" He shouted, almost grabbing my arm, but I just kept running. Not caring if anyone noticed me running so fast. As I ran off of campus, there was a sudden down pour. I don't know how to feel. Maybe it was the way he has been treating me for the past few days. Maybe that's why I'm feeling like this. Maybe it's because- because- a loud thunderstrike boomed in the sky, causing my thoughts to be interrupted.
I pull my hood up above my head as I slow down to a walking pace. I don't care if people see my face right now. I just need something to distract me for a bit. My eyes were glowing red under my hood. I could see them through the puddle on the ground. I shoved my hands into my pockets as I made my way to Evelyns bar. It started to rain harder. People with umbrellas ran passed me into any shop they could stay dry in.
As soon as I entered her bar, I went to the counter and asked for the strongest drink they had. They handed it to me. "Thanks", I mumbled as I made my way upstairs to my exclusive room at the bar. Evelyn walked out of her office as I walked up the stairs. She saw me head up. I opened my door and took off the hoodie I was wearing and replaced it with another one that I had in my closet. I pressed the button next to my door, signaling Evelyn to send someone up for me. Each room has a button like that for us vampires if we don't feel like finding someone in the bar ourselves. I laid on the bed for a bit before I heard a light knock on the door.
I opened the door and the first person that I saw was Evelyn. She had a worried expression. "He has noise cancelers in his ears and a thick blind fold on, so you should be fine." She said even though I've heard this line about a hundred times. I just nodded my head and grabbed the guy by the fluffy handcuffs he was wearing. "Are you-" I cut her off before she finished her sentence. "I'm fine, just at my limit now." I stated avoiding eye contact. She just sighed, fully aware that I had lied to her. "Alright, just let me know if you have anything else you need." I nodded and shut the door. I listened as her footsteps became distant.
I opened the bottle of alcohol and downed a good bit of it. I placed it on the table next to the door and quickly grabbed the guy Evelyn sent and slammed him against the door, earning a surprised gasp from said person. I lightly touched his face to see his reaction and he flinched. I brought my hand to his chest, then down to his stomach, barely touching him. He shivered and sighed as I retracted my hand. "You'll do, I suppose." I mumbled and grabbed him by the handcuffs and threw him onto the bed. I positioned myself on his lap as he laid flat on the bed.
I placed my hand on his chest and noticed his heart was racing. I chuckled a bit before bringing my head down to his neck. I feel a bit tipsy. I licked his neck as my hands ghosted around his body. I use one of my hands to turn his head to the side to give me more room. I resisted for a second before I tightened my hold on him, earning a whine from him. I scoffed as I felt something beneath me. I sank my fangs into his neck, causing him to gasp. "Wha-" I covered his mouth as I lapped up his blood, ignoring his pleas. He groaned as I continued to attack his neck. I sat up and released my hold on him. He was panting. I was going to go back down but before I could, someone barged into the room and grabbed me, causing me to stumble off of the man who was beneath me.
"What in the world are you doing!? Jasper?!" Shouted William, the person who pulled me off. "You told me to drink! So I drank!" I yelled back. "Yea! I did, but I meant from Floyd! Not some stranger!" he shouted as his grip around my wrist tightened, causing me to wince. He loosens his hold and gives me a sad expression and pulls me in for a hug. I hugged him back as tears started to form in my eyes. He let me go and dragged me out of the bar. As we walked past the counter, William nodded at Evelyn and she gave me a soft smile. I kept my head down as he led me to his motorcycle in the front of the bar. As he handed me his helmet he asked me "How did it taste?" his voice quiet as if he didn't want to startle me. "It- it was dull and gross" I said as tears started to flow down my face. " He pats my head and gets on his bike, gesturing me to follow him. On the way home, I laid my head on his back and dozed off to sleep from the alcohol or maybe the crying.
*Floyds POV*
"Can you just listen to me for once in your life? Isaac?!" shouted Jessica, another professor at this college. I sighed heavily and looked up at her from my spot on the couch. "No matter how many times you tell me, Jessica, my answer will stay the same. Now, if you will excuse me, I have papers to grade." I grumbled, turning my attention to the papers in my hand. "Why?! Just because you found your soul bond?! Do you even know what you're saying?!" She shouts, flailing her arms around. "Soul Bonds are what vampires call their other half! You are a Holy Deity!" She continues. "Why are you telling me things that I already know?" I asked, annoyed by her continuous shouting, keeping my eyes on the paper marking whatever was wrong. "He's been in so many relationships!" I looked at her with a cold stare. "Did I ask?" annoyance filled my voice. "Leave me alone now, I have a student coming soon." I demanded as I took my eyes off of her onoce again.
She stomped my way and slapped the papers out of my hand, forcing her way onto my lap. "I can give you more than he could ever give you." She said as she grabbed my face between her hands. "Get the f**k off of me." she stayed silent. "You have one second to get the f**k off of me." I stated as I summoned a Holy artifact into one of my hands. "On-" she cut me off "I really like you Mr. Floyd!" she cried and as she did, the door swung open, causing me to put away the weapon I had summoned.
My attention was now on the person at the door. "S-sorry!" was all he said as he ran away. "Jasper!" I called out to him. I glared at the woman above me and shoved her off. She fell on her bum followed by a loud thud. I resumed the weapon and pointed it at her. "Oh come one, you know that won't hurt me," she scoffed, standing up. "It can." I simply said as it started to glow. "Aw was that your soul bond? she mocked. I glare at her as I send the weapon flying at her, which she barely dodges, leaving a cut on her face. Soon, I heard quick footsteps coming towards the office and before I knew it, a fist was sent into my face.
I stumbled a bit before looking at the person who had hit me. "William," I stated. I touched my face as he glared at me. "You damn bastard!" He shouted. "You knew! You knew who he was! You had him- in your hands!" His hands curled up in a fist like he was about to punch me again. "What the hell were you two doing in here for him to run away like that!" He continued. I let out a heavy sigh again and said "can you wait for a second? You wolves are so violent sometimes." I looked at Jessica, who had a smug look on her face. "I'm going to wipe that look off of your face." I mumbled as I sent the artifact flying at her again.
She disappeared into thin air before it could touch her. "You damn Holy Deitys are all-" He stops himself and sighs "Explain.' he demands, crossing his arms. "I took a hand to my face again, pinching the bridge of my nose."
A Few Moments Later
As soon as I finished explaining what happened, I felt a certain aura around William. "Shifting now won't do anything but cause us trouble," I stated. He sighed "Anyway, he remembered, but he's probably second guessing himself right now." William shoved his hands in his pocket. "R-really? He remembers?" I asked, filled with joy. "Don't get too happy yet," he scoffed. "He just witnessed something he shouldn't have. Witnessed something that shouldn't have even happened. Now he's out there probably about to do something stupid on his own." He paused and looked at me. "Stupid like what?" I asked, lifting an eyebrow. "Like getting blood from someone other than his bond." He smiles "Well I don't blame him, he hasn't been able to drink properly for about four? five? days." "What do you mean?" I asked. "Don't you know? Once vampires find their other half, they can't drink from anyone else, unless the other allows it." "What? So what has he been drinking!?" I raised my voice a bit. "Probably blood tablets or bags." He shrugged. "You're his friend, aren't you supposed to be more concerned?" I questioned him and he glared at me, grabbing me by the color, I was much taller than him but he was indeed strong. "Don't question me. If I could, I would have given him my blood like before, but no. I can't because you stepped into the picture and you are preventing him from feeding himself. He jabbed his finger into my chest.
"Was I supposed to just tell him?" "Well yea!?" He answered as if it was an obvious answer. He looked at me in disbelief. "Damn Holy Deity." He grumbled. "Where is he now?" I asked, starting to feel a bit worried. "I have an idea," he paused, "but you aren't coming along." He said sternly turning around to the door. "Properly introduce yourself to him the next time you see him." He says and opens the door. "Don't follow me." He says looking back at me before slamming the door closed on his way out.
