Helping at the Bar

*Jaspers POV*

"Come in," said Mr. Floyd before I knocked on the door. I was startled at first but proceeded to open the door. "H-hello." I closed the door behind me; as I entered the room, he kept his eyes on me. "Uhm, can I write the notes from today?" I asked, a bit nervous from his stare. "Sure, give me a moment." he turns his attention toward his tablet. He feels a bit different today. He seems a bit angry. I spaced out for a bit before he said my name. "Jasper," he said in a low tone. "Y-yes!" I shouted at him; I looked at his hand that held the tablet and took it quickly. "Thank you," I said softly and went to the spot I was in yesterday.

I sat down and took my book out, along with a pen. I need to remember, or else I will keep losing focus in his class. "Finish up your notes." He said sternly, snapping me out of my thoughts, and I just nodded my head and started. A few moments later, I heard his chair move, but I kept focusing on my notes. "Sit closer to the table." I scooted forward without question, and he sat right behind me as I did. "Wha-" "Finish your notes; I already finished my work." "Th-then I can write them some other time." I stuttered.

"No, finish now." He was stubborn, and not only that, he wrapped his arms around my waist and placed his forehead on my shoulder. My ears were now red. "Besides, what if you don't finish your notes tomorrow too? Then you're going to have double the notes to write," he added as he rubbed his head against my neck. "S-stop that," I whined, and he ignored me. "You smell like a dog." He mumbled, but I heard him loud and clear. That damn mutt! "What?!" I shouted by accident. "Finish your notes." He insisted. That's easier said than done, you damned professor. I groaned and did my best to focus on the words before me, and he tightened his hold on me, bringing me closer to him. I could feel his heartbeat on my back and his breath on my neck. I took a deep breath before attempting to focus on my work. My heart is beating so much faster than his; this is unreal. "Are you alright?" He asked; he faced his head toward me.

"Y-yes!" I shouted again. "What's wrong?" He asked, obviously knowing the answer. "W-well, because of you!" I shouted. "Well, don't mind me," He tilts his head. "make it like I'm not here." He says as if it's that easy. "H-how am I supposed to focus like- like this," I say, leaning forward a bit which caused him to hold me tighter, bringing me back to him. My face turns red, he buries his head in my neck, and I groan. "Push me away then," he comments, and I stay silent. We stayed like that for a while, and I started to hear light snores. I sigh quietly and finally begin to write. I'll let him do this since he took care of me.

After a while of struggling to write, I finally finished. I noticed that I felt oddly comfortable with him. I almost fell asleep a few times. I feel relaxed right now. So much that I don't want to wake him up. Then my phone rang. I fumbled with it for a bit because it frightened me for a second. Floyd woke up as I answered the phone. "H-hello!" I quickly replied, "Yes, alright, right now?" As I was talking on the phone, Floyd nuzzled closer to my neck. "O-okay!" I looked down at him, and he got closer to my face. He brought his hand to the side of my face and guided me toward his lips. It barely touches mine. He looks really handsome. Jasper!" shouted Evelyn on the phone, and I whipped my face away from his "Yes Yes! I 'm coming now!" I responded and ended the call. shoved my phone into my bag and stood up, shoving my other items into my bag. W-well I'll- I'll see you later, professor!' I shouted a bit and he stood up and stalked towards me, causing me to back up onto the bookshelf next to the door. He smiled "Yes, see you tomorrow Jasper." He opened the door and gestured for me to leave. Th-thank you!" I said as I ran out. heard him chuckle as I left. made my way to the bar.

"Whew, thank you! You for help today, your Jasper!" said a very drunk Evelyn. He ended up having a drinking contest with one of the patrons. With the last person just walking out, I locked the door. Jasper!" she shouted drunkardly. Yes yes", I walked towards her and started to clean the glasses on the counter. You're such a good kid." She slurred as she sat on one of the stools, taking another sip of her glass. Please stop drinking." I whined, mentally crying. Ya know," she slurs, completely ignoring me. You looked very happy when you burst through the doors early, and your entire vibe during work was great." She laughed out loud. You remind me of the time I found my other half." I blushed "I-its nothing like that." I said, wiping down another glass. Ah, when we first met" She grins ",I tripped and was about to fall flat on my face, but he caught me before that, and the burning sensation you feel when you find your other half, made him drop me. But we were both extremely happy! But of course, my friends yelled at him for dropping me, but it was a very happy day for us." she laughed at the memory, but there was one thing that caught my attention. Wait, what did you say about that feeling you had when you met?" I asked, hurrying her to answer. What?!" She shouts "I just said! That there was a burning sensation! I was so hot to the touch that he dropped me!" and that was when it hit me. No way!" I shouted. Finally remembering what I forgot. Lord is my- I hear a thud in front of me. Look up at Evelyn and see that she is knocked out cold. Sighing and calling her husband. Hi, uncle!" I told him that his wife was passed out and he immediately came over.

I just put her in the passenger seat of the car and softly closed the door. As I did, Uncle rolled the window down. When was the last time you drank?" He asked as he started up the car again. A-ah, it's been". I paused "I believe, three days now." I smiled awkwardly, hoping I wouldn't get scolded. Three days?!" He shouted. Ecelyn turned her head and mumbled something in her sleep. You need to take better care of yourself." He scolded. Or else your aunty over here is going to die from worrying so much." He said a bit quieter to not disturb said person. Noded my head and gave him a soft smile. Thank you Uncle." He just rolled at me and rolled up the window. saw my reflection in the window and noticed I looked a bit pale. He drove off and soon after, I drove the other direction home.

I sighed as I opened the door to my shared home and noticed that William was already sleeping. quietly did my night routine and headed to my room. Flopping down onto the bed. Wow," I said out loud, smiling at myself. But I stop smiling as the realization dawns on me. I was so drunk that I passed out and forgot!" I shouted to myself, hiding my face in my pillow. That's embarrassing. would also be a bit mad if my other half forgot because of that reason," I said out loud. Well, tomorrow I will definitely tell him. And moments later I'd drifted off to sleep.

The Next Day

I was heading to the first class of the day with William. Throughout the day, I'd been trying to talk to Floyd to let him know, but he was always surrounded by students. I sighed and saw him with the students again and before I turned to walk away, William then shouted my name and ran past him, which caused Mr. Floyd to look at me, and when he did he smiled and waved, and William seemed to have noticed, since he grabbed my wrist and dragged me away to a quiet area.

We sat down under a tree and I looked up at the sky. The weather is so nice today. So what was that about?" He asked, lying down on the grass. Looking down at him with a big smile. I found my other half!" I shouted happily. could hear the gears turning in his brain and that's when he sat up. Don't tell me," He pauses, looking me straight in the eyes. Its Prof Floyd." I just smiled and nodded at him. e scratches the back of his head and holds the back of his neck. en he looks at me and pats my head. " ood for you, Jasper I'm happy for you!" I smiled. " aha, I finally remembered." THats when his hand stopped moving. " ha- you- Thats what you forgot?!" He shouts and pinches my cheeks. " hen that means, thats the reason he alwasy gives me death stares." A visible shiver goes through his body. " hat?" I asked as I swatted his hands away from my cheeks. " m sure you saw the way he was looking at you yesterday. Are you sure he's just human?" he asks, fakely crying. " Well, I think? I'm not too sure. Yesterday he was rub-" I paused before finishing my sentence, my face flushed red." William smirks and looks at me. "H what?" He asked with slyness in his voice."A-anyway he's most likely human, since Vampires and Holy Deities have never had a bond before." I finished off before he asked more. "W a-" "Oh would you look at the time, Time for class!" I shout and grab his wrist dragging him to class.

"You're actually trying to get me killed here!" He whispers in my ear. He snatches his hand back and we sit down in our seats."What do you mean?" I ask and he just points to the professor. When I looked at him he had a smile on his face. I smiled back and looked at William and gave him a confused expression. He sighs and fake cries as he takes his book out. "S are you going to tell him today, yea?" He asks, placing his bag in front of him. "Y p hehe", I answer answered, feeling excited.

I wrote all the notes for today! "W w you finally finished your notes again." Mocked William as he put his book away. I just smiled and placed my book in my bag. We walked out of the class, but before fully leaving the class, I took a look at professor Floyd, but he was talking to a student, so he didn't notice I had left. As we walked down the hall, William dragged me to the bathroom with him insisting that I come with him. "W at," He whined "This may be the last time we hang out before you get totally swept off your feet by that guy." He continued as he washed his hands. I just laughed and he grumbled. " You're glowing so much." He complained as he brought his hand up to his face as if he was blocking the sun. "O shut up, you were like this with Da-" I stopped myself and William had a frown on his face but quickly covered it up with, "Well anyway! Let's go to your 'dear's' office."

We walked out of the bathroom and walked down the hall. " You're so extra." I laughed. "O ay, Mister, I-forgot-about-my-other-half-because-I-was-drunk." I elbowed his pain, causing him to feign pain. He grumbles as we make it near his office. "O ce you figure everything out, drink." He says sternly, looking at me with a serious expression. "I didn't want to say anything because I know you don't like it when I worry about stuff like that, but you're reaching your limit now." He puts a hand on my shoulder. Before I say anything, he says "Also relax!" He laughs "I'm a wolf with amazing hearing, but I'm sure if a human were to walk past you they could hear your heart racing like crazy." He chuckles and I just stay silent with an awkward smile. " ell, let me know what happens." He smiles and turns away waving as he walks off.

I walked towards the office door but before I opened, I put a hand on my face. My cold hand against my blushing face. I took deep breaths before opening the door. I lace my hand on the knob of the door, twist it open and push. As the door swung open I heard "I really like you Mr. Floyd!" The door was now fully open and the scene that was shown before me made my heart drop. Another professor on top of my professor. My professor. My soul bond. My other half.
