*Jaspers POV* "Aw! Are you worried about me?" asked the person in the shadows. "It stinks," I complained. "Hm? Since when did you care about the scent?" the sound of her steps echoed in the alley. Hey, res eyes glowing brightly in the shadows, but as soon as he stepped into the light, they were a light hazel color. "What are you doing here anyway?" she asked, wiping her mouth. "Ah, my college is over there." I pointed, but my eyes wandered toward the body slumped against the wall. "Is that your college? It's pretty big." She commented but then noticed my gaze. "Don't worry. I already fixed up the wound. He won't remember anything when he wakes up." She reassures me. "What about your husband?" I asked, looking at her. "Oh, didn't I tell you? He is overseas right now. He comes back tomorrow morning. He knows about this, obviously." She answeres. "And he's okay with it?" I questioned as she motioned me to walk with her out of the alleyway. "Well, of course not, but what can he do about it. He doesn't want me to starve and won't let me take blood bags because they aren't fresh. You could say he's putting up with it." She laughs. "Speaking of which, when was the last time you drank?" She asked while we made our way to her bar. When she asked, that sweat started to form on my forehead."Jasper?" She questions, and I answered with "T-two days ago." I mumbled. She doesn't say anything; all she does is drag me into the bar and behind the counter. "Two days?!" She shouts. "I wasn't able to go out much without my ex-boyfriend suspecting me, so-" before I could ramble on more, she stopped me. "I didn't ask for you to explain yourself." She sighs and continues, "You know I own this bar, right? Just let me know when you can drink some. I'll set someone up for you." She swings her arms out, lets out another huff, and folds her arms. "Thank you, Evelyn," I say with a smile. "Yea, go turn on the sign and help me set up." Evelyn orders, placing her bags in her office. After helping her set up, people started to rush into the bar. "Go sit down and see if anyone piques your interest," Evelyn says, pushing me away from the back of the counter. I did what she said, and not long after, someone came up to me. "Hey, handsome." said the man. He swung his arm around my shoulder. Already being used to this, I leaned in closer to him. Moments later, we are now in the bar room I use. "You're quick, aren't you?" he smirks as he pushes me against the door, causing it to close. "Sorry." I bring my arms around his neck. "I'm not the type to take it slow." I smile at him. "I hope you don't mind," I say, guiding him to the bed as he felt me up and down. I push him onto the bed, and he brings his hands under my shirt. "Ah ah ah," I say as I stop him. I pull out a blindfold from the drawer beside the bed. "Oh? A bit kinky, I see." He comments. "Just a little bit," I add as I cover his eyes. After that, I pushed him down on the bed to lie down. My eyes are now bright red, and my fangs are showing a bit more. I bring my head down to his neck and lick it. He reacts slightly, and I sink my teeth into his skin. As soon as the scent and taste of his blood hit me, I immediately feel like throwing up. So much that I involuntary gag and push myself off of him. "What?" He asks, confused and a bit offended. "N-nothing." I wipe my mouth, getting rid of anything on it. He sits up and tries to take the blindfold off. I grab his hand before he does. "Keep that on; you can do that for me, right?" I say, pushing him back on the bed. "But I want to see." He protests. I sigh. "Well, if you insist." I let him take it off as he stays laid down. As soon as he took it off, he noticed my eyes, and before he could react, I covered his mouth and held him down. "You will stay put until someone else comes in here. And when that person comes in here, you will do as they say." I commanded as he stared into my eyes. When I finished my command, he went limp. "Geez." I sigh as I get off of the hypnotized man. I run my hand through my hair and walk out, disgusted by the blood. I made my way toward Evelyn. "Hey, how'd it go? Had your fill?" She asked as she cleaned a glass. "I'm not- not feeling it tonight." I avoid her eye contact, and she responds with, "Alrighty, let me know if you want to try again." he hands me a tablet in a small packet and a water bottle. "Thank you." I walked out of the bar and headed home. I opened the water bottle and plopped the tablet, which dissolved, turning the water red. Blood tablets are usually used at big parties, so vampires don't go after every neck they see. These are pretty strong, but it's always better to get fresh blood. I drank the whole bottle and tossed it into a recycling bin. As soon as I open the door, I'm greeted by a wolf staring right at me. "William!" I shouted, nearly passing out from the sudden wolf in my face. "Didn't I tell you to stop doing that?" I scolded, and I lightly smacked his head. The wolf just whined and gently grabbed the hem of my shirt with his mouth and dragged me to his bed. "Williammm" he plops down on the bed next to me. "I still need to shower," I complained, and he didn't budge. "Are you okay?" I asked, petting his fur. "No." It was a short quick answer, and I could probably guess what made his mood like this. Before I asked what was wrong, his phone vibrated. I sat up and looked at it. Oh, it's always him. "Uhm, you got a message from Damien," I said, laying back down and facing him. "I don't care." He placed his big head on top of my chest. "Ignore that, Jerk." He firmly said and closed his eyes. I feel sad for him. Even though he found his mate- "Stop being sad for me. If you want me to feel better, sleep with me tonight." He insists. "Alright," I comply as I drift off to sleep. The Next Day I open my eyes to find myself in the middle of the ocean. I look around, and all I see is the deep blue. I'm not even moving; I'm just floating here. I turn my head and see William in his wolf form, unconscious. I tried to reach out to him but realized my arms and legs were tied. I called out to him, but water started to rush into my lungs as soon as I did. I began to struggle a lot, and William seemed to have gone deep into the abyss of an ocean. "Jasper!" William shook me awake. I gasped for air. "Are you okay?" He sounded distraught. I grabbed onto my chest. "Yea, I'm fine. I just had a bad dream." He hugged me, and I just patted his head. William and I have been together since we were born, which has happened several times. But that dream was new. "I'm fine," I reassure him as I gently push him off of me. He still had a worried expression on his face. I check my phone. "We gotta get to class soon," I tell him, getting off the bed and stretching. "Okay." He says softly and gets up. We made it to school, and the day went by smoothly, but I was getting side glances from the wolves and vampires that attended college with us throughout the day. I sniffed my arm. "That damned mutt splashed his scent all over me," I grumbled, and someone bumped into me from behind. "Ah," I dropped my book and picked it back up. "Sorry." I turned around. "It's alrig- Oh, Mr. Floyd." I acknowledged him. "Hell-" He covered his nose. Is he a- "Hello, sorry for bumping into you. I wasn't paying attention." He apologized. "It's alright! Are you okay?" I looked at his hand covering his nose, and he quickly put it down. "Yes, I'm fine. I'll get going now." He says bye and walks away. I made it through my following few classes, and now it's my last class. I sat down along with William, and as he did, I punched him. "You damn mutt, putting your scent all over me." I scolded, and he apologized, saying he was just worried. "I'm not a plain human, ya know." "I know, I know." "You're such a baby," I remembered how Mr. Floyd reacted when I spoke to him. "William?" He just looked at me. "Is Professor Floyd a wolf?" I questioned. He shook his "No? Why." He asks. "Oh, nothing. I was asking." He disregards it and pulls out his book. I looked at Mr. Floyd, who seemed to have noticed because when we made eye contact, he smiled at me. My heart started to race a bit, and I quickly looked down at my book. Then I remembered I had forgotten something. ' Ah geez,' I mentally grumbled. Class ended, and I- this time didn't write anything down! Anything! I'm mentally crying. Seriously. I run my hand through my hair. "Again, those who haven't finished writing are welcome to my office to finish them." I looked up and saw that he was looking at me again. I smiled awkwardly back at him. "Are you going to his office again?" teased William. "Hush." I silenced him, and he just laughed at me. "You can just look at my notes." He offered again."It's alright; it is better to get the information from the original." I say back. "Yes, there's no need to give such an excuse." He mocked me as he walked with me to the office. "Well, here we are. Get home safely!" He says, walking off. "Alright," I say back and open the door before me.
