What is wrong with me ? Benjamin was buried six weeks ago and even though I hate him I also loved him for ten years , somehow the love surpass the hatred . He has broken my heart into a billion pieces beyond repair but what happened last night was not suppose to take place I could have done better maybe prevented it however , I have done the despicable to my late husband who was just buried recently shame on me ! Have I became characterless ? . Whom am I kidding Benjamin had been wearing a mask in front of me for ten years maybe he also cheated on me behind my back . Is it wrong that I enjoyed what happened last night and I want more ?

Last night made me realize that I might have feelings for Lucas . It is not only because of the one night stand or because he reminds me so much of Benjamin . Every time he looks at me I just freeze and I forget all that I have recently went through . Every time we sit down to eat and he is in the other end of the table our eyes lock and the atmosphere around us suddenly becomes very warm . Every single time he passes by I can smell his strong bold scent , the fragrance of his bed sheets is enticing and makes me want more and more of last night moreover I want to feel his breath on my neck one more time .

He is always wearing a stern face around the house but somehow I always look forward to meeting him every day at the dining table . I love how he is well built with perfect muscles on his chest and abdomen .

Personally think that I should confess my feelings tonight maybe I will kill two birds with one stone , on one hand I will get over Benjamin if I get romantically involved with someone else and on the other hand I will get to live again with happiness something I recently doubted . I also deserve happiness and I will not let my late husband especially that he betrayed me get in way of having a life once more hopefully a normal one . First step to take is to confess my feelings and the second step which is to forget about Benjamin will follow .

Lucas POINT OF VIEW

When my brother finds out about last night he is going to kill me . He might have betrayed her but I know he really adores her . Who would blame my brother though for loving her she is a beauteous woman and she sure knows her way around the kitchen . I have to try my best to ignore her or else the feelings I have for her will grow more and when my brother comes back it will be a huge problem . As for last night I will never forget it her soft pink lips , soft skin and her beautiful scent that peregrinate me to a blissful place . I enjoy her company , her talkativeness , and her smile brightens my day but I need to have self control .

Every day I look forward to stare at her irresistible baby blue eyes at the dining table . However I can not betray my brother like that . Moreover , the day Olivia knows the true relation between me and Benjamin she will hate me the same way she hates Benjamin . It is best if she does not get attached to me or else she will feel betrayed again . I do not think I can bear to see her hurt again however , I do not think that she took last night serious because I know without a doubt in my mind that she still loves Benjamin . I am confident that she loved and still love my brother so much , I was just a one night stand nothing more nothing less . I am not suppose to love her at any cost she is my sister in law , my brother ' s wife , bone of his bones .

AFTER A WEEK

It has been a week now and Lucas is still ignoring me . How will I confuse my feelings to him if he keeps ignoring me , maybe I should fake an injury it is the only way to get his attention because I know he will come rushing to assist me .

I screamed and Lucas came running without even giving it a thought " Are you hurt ? Are you okay ? how did you fall ? Were you even looking ! What is wrong with you ? Do u need a doctor ? Where does it hurt ? " Lucas said as I looked him in the eyes as he picked me up into his muscular arms and took me to his bedroom a place I once was forbidden to enter ." So you care about me ? " I asked Lucas who was quick to respond . " No I do not care about you or anything that you do " he responded to me but his eyes clearly show that he has the same feelings that I also have for him .

" Then why a million question ? " I asked while holding his hand tightly . He responded by saying he is my bodyguard and it is his responsibility to ensure that I am safe even though he knew deep down in his heart that it is not true .

I think that he might have forgotten that he did not like the idea of being my bodyguard not even my presence , now he all of a sudden claim to fancy it . " Am I just that to you ? " I asked and Lucas said " Yes that is what you are to me " while avoiding eye contact . I got closer to him and said " Look me in the eyes and tell me that night meant nothing ." Lucas stood up and took five steps in an attempt to leave the room . I know that you have been ignoring me because of what happened that night I said it loudly to try and stop him from leaving the room .

"I know that you have been ignoring me because of what happened that night " Olivia said to me in a loud tone .

" Olivia What night ? " With my back still facing her I responded with a question instead of an answer to her question .

" Lucas I realized that I have feelings for you " Olivia said to me .

I also have feelings for her but I will not tell her because I can not betray my brother like that especially after I thought I will never see him again . I turned around to face her and said " But you do not know me hence you can not just claim to love me ."

Olivia got closer to me and asked " WHO SAID I DO NOT KNOW YOU ? " she responded . Suddenly the room started to become warm and time just paused for a short while . " Yes and besides I do not have feelings for you . " I said to Olivia because I thought the only way to dim her feelings for me is to be harsh unfortunately she is not the kind to give up easily . Olivia smiled and asked " Is that why you came running when you thought I was hurt ? " She got closer to me , looked me in the eyes and I felt weak by looking in her dreamy eyes and I responded " The truth is I do not have feelings for you ... "

( A knock on the door interrupted me) Are you guys ready to go Charlotte asked and I responded , " Yes let me get my coat " I said to Charlotte who suggested that they will wait in the car for me . For the first time Charlotte did something right by interrupting us because I was in a very awkward situation with my brother ' s wife who I recently found out he is alive and she is my sister in law who is unaware of our relation but claim to love me . This could not get any worse than the one night stand though .

The car that Charlotte was driving was a very expensive german machine . A Porsche Cayenne SUV 2019 with special exhaust and special wheels . When I got inside the special interior was breath taking , instanly I recalled the days when my brother and I would compete on who was more knowledgeable about cars infront of my dear father . Today I miss my parents and brother the most , I wish they were by my side right now .

Anyway we got to the car and waited for Lucas . However did Charlotte have to ruin a beautiful moment like that . I bet he was about to confess his feelings to me but no ! she just had to walk in . He might never tell me his feelings with all this trial work we will be busy with and I am not sure what the courts decision will be , this might be my last week of freedom I do not want to waste not even a single minute of it , he will have to confess soon or else I will take a drastic action . " I know that you might be worried about the trial but do not worry everything will get back to normal soon " Charlotte said to comfort me .

" Nothing will ever get back to normal , I will forever be known as the woman who married the Mafia leader and had no idea . I am the biggest fool on earth if you ask me . " I said this out loud without even giving it a thought . " Everything will get back to normal trust me . " Charlotte assured me . What is the use because he will not wake up from the dead to answer for what he did to me . Justice needs to be served all those years that were fake I can not take it back . Oh ! someone please build a time machine I am in dire need of it .

" One thing I know for sure he loved you with all his ". Charlotte confidently says to me . " What make you so sure . " I asked her because she said it as if he knew him . Why would a stranger speak as if has met him before ." We will talk later Lucas is coming you know he hates these kind of talks about love and relationships . " Charlotte said to me as Lucas approches the car .

That one right there is a fact Lucas hates these kind of talks even if it means confessing his feelings . Lucas gets in the car and we drive off to court .

Charlotte POINT OF VIEW

Today is the day we solve this matter once and for all so that her business can function again and cleaning the money will be easy . I have to ensure that I win the case today itself , I do not want a long trial because the sooner everything gets back to normal the better .I will take over the business just as my father initially planned and watch as the war begins . I hope that KIM does not get over excited again and potentially ruin our plan . At least he knows that if I had not assisted him to escape from Lucas that day after the funeral he would be a copse by now .

I also realized that they are some sparks between Olivia and Lucas just as I planned . I knew that these two will eventually fall for each other but not this soon but hey this will speed up the plan . We arrived at the court house after managing to escape the traffic thanks to Lucas and his driving skills and the press was waiting for us at the entrance . Lucas shielded her and we got inside . After waiting for an hour the case commenced , '' How do you plead to the charges Mrs Olivia mounts . " the judge questioned her but Olivia kept quite I guess she was just nervous as she was mute for a minute until she looked at Lucas .'' Not guilty your honor . '' Olivia responded
