Zara's POV
I called Rachel at nine that night.
She answered on the second ring. "Zara. I didn't think you'd call back."
"I need advice," I said. "And you're the only person I can ask who isn't connected to Cole or his family."
"Okay. What's going on?"
"Victor offered me ten million dollars to walk away. Full custody, legal protection, everything. I have forty-eight hours to decide."
Silence. Then: "Are you considering it?"
"I don't know. That's why I need advice. I called an attorney this morning to understand what my options are legally. James Morrison, family law specialist. He's reviewing the contract marriage terms and Victor's offer to see which one actually protects me and the baby better."
"You hired a lawyer without telling Cole?"
"Cole doesn't know. And I need it to stay
