Detention

490 Words
Detention was a bummer. The teacher fell asleep slumped over the desk, but then, in his sleep, decided that that was not comfortable enough. So, we rolled off the desk--still asleep--and fell on the floor. He was snoring loudly on the desk before he fell, but on the floor, he stopped snoring. I wondered if he had died within the point two seconds it took for him to reach the floor.      Oh shoot. I peered around his desk from my seat and saw him lying there, with his mouth open. Do I check if he's breathing? But just then, I saw his chest rise. I guess he's alive. I was suddenly mad. Dammit! How do I leave? The kid that's also stuck with me was quiet, loudly tapping away his nail's worth on his brick of a phone. When did he get that back? He was sentenced here because he was texting in class. Allegedly, he was texting very loudly, to which the teacher ignored. He was the principal's son anyways. Meaning he got undisclosed privileges we couldn't have.     But the story doesn't stop there. I overheard some kid telling some other kid, that he walked away from his phone in class and the loudest fake, exaggerated moan could be heard screeching out of his phone and finally the teacher had had enough. Mrs. Hatt snatched it away and done tossed it out a window. Poor kid, one may think, but not really. See, his dad, the principal, Mr. Keye, Mr. Head Stin Keye--I didn't name him--could easily buy him another phone. Mr. Keye works as a principal for a whole 4 schools, meaning four times as much money as working at one school. Not to mention the two other private schools his wife tends to. Everyone hates him, but they hate his kid more.      One time, Debbie drained half his bank account. She worked at a Starbucks and stole his credit card. I guess he didn't notice it gone when she handed it him his entire wallet back. I would like to say it was on him for being so stupid, but she shouldn't have stolen it. Debbie almost got away with it, until his bank called him about the vast amount of money he lost. Mr. Keye didn't care though, who did it and whatnot, he just wanted the money back. Which he got back within a few seconds. Debbie had to return everything she got on his card. Luckily no charges were pressed on her.      I zoned back in slightly to see his fingers tapping away at his phone. Who's he even texting? He probably doesn't have any real friends. I bet they just want a taste of his lifestyle. There wasn't anything special about him, he's not attractive in any sense either. He's dumb and it shows in his actions. He's not even physically attractive in the slightest. I could start on everything I don't like about him. It was really easy not to like him.
