The silence between us was heavy and the fact that it was nighttime didn't help my situation. However, the stranger beside me stood quietly as unbothered as ever. He stood like a military man awaiting his next set of orders. Not once did he even bother to take a glance at me after we agreed on waiting. My head jolted when I heard the sound of tires moving against the hard concrete. A sleek and imposing black limousine that seemed to devour the city’s neon glow rolled up to our front.
