“Will you work with me, Jocelyn?” Mr. Reynolds rephrased his question when I didn't give him an answer. “Who framed my father?” I asked all of a sudden. Mr. Reynolds's eyes widened and I could his resolve begin to c***k. I also surprised myself and the question came out on impulse. My fear had dissipated and a good chunk of curiosity had come in its place. When I didn't get an answer, I asked again, “Who framed my father?” This time it was Mr. Reynolds's turn to be left speechless. A cloud of silence hovered over us as we both stared at each other.
