She looked away before her eyes met mine again. “Well, yes, I did,” she answered in a voice lower than she had used before. “So you know about the Collins situation? I thought that it was just between Louis, Jacob, and I.” Her head tilted to the side as she stared into a far and distant space. She tucked a stray strand of silver blonde hair behind her ear and proceeded to lightly chew on the flesh on her lower lip.
