My words got stuck in my throat and I couldn't seem to find anything good enough to say to Jacob.

Jacob’s lips came down on mine, interrupting me and making me forget everything it was that I needed to say to him. I couldn't tell if he did it to shut me up or if he did it as a way to forget about his pain.
Either way, I was ready to help Jacob in any way. Even if it meant being his rebound. He was suffering just as much as I was.
