19 Bob placed his suitcase in the back of the loaner car. He glanced at his watch. Debbie had said she’d be right down, but it had already been twenty minutes. He slipped his sunglasses on and leaned against the car. A couple of years ago, it might have bothered him to wait. But not anymore. Just the knowledge that she still loved him was enough. Bob would wait for another two years, if it meant being with Debbie. But he didn’t have to wait years, or even months. Just a few moments later, she came rushing out of the hotel, suitcase in hand.
