Scarlett's Pov

I feel cold. Really cold. I tried to open my eyes and succeeded. But when I did I wished I hadn't. I'm back in hell. The hell I thought I had escaped all those years ago. How did he find me? I was brought out of my thoughts by an evil laugh. "You really thought I wouldn't find you again sweet heart. I know you weren't dead, I was letting you live a little. Now is going to be even better when I claim you as you've found your so-called mate." "Why would you do this me!" I screamed at him. "Because I love you." With that, he walked closer to me and touched my cheek. His hand felt so cold against my cheek and it made me shiver. "Pl-please leave me alone," I begged, scared of what he'd do next. "I see you still don't want to be with me, let's see if that changes after you relive a bit of your past sweet heart. See you soon." He places a kiss on my cheek which sent a shiver down my spine. With that he turned around and slammed the cell door shut. 'Not again..' I thought to myself. 'We will be free soon, I promise. This time I won't let them hurt you.' 'Thank you midnight.' As I told her that I shrunk back into the corner of the cell and let my demon create a force field around me so no one could touch me. However, I knew that in time I'd be too weak to hold the force field, especially with no food. 'Please find me Jake...'

Jakes Pov

"WHERE IS SCARLET! WHERE IS MY MATE!" I bellowed out. My face was probably fully red by now. Michael, Conner and Matt came running in and looked horrified. "Whe-where is she Jake?" "I don't know.. I don't f*****g know okay! She's gone..." Everyone just looked at me not knowing what to do. They've never seen me this weak before. I've never been this weak. I need to find her.. 'Find mate... I need mate..' Ash whimpered in my head. "Conner send search parties out around the border she couldn't just of disappeared." They all stood there for another minute before I yelled "GO YOU IDIOTS!"

*2 weeks later*

I'm still sat in my office hugging one of Scars t-shirts. Her sent calms me to the point I won't lash out at someone. I was thinking of her sent and the first day at school when a knock brought me out of my thoughts "Come in." Conner walked in looking scared. "Conner what is it." "We still can't find any trace and everyone is too scared of the Prince to tell us.. I'm sorry Jake." "GET OUT!" I yelled in my alpha voice. 'Scar I love you.. please come back to me..'

Scarlett's Pov

It's been two weeks. I haven't eaten in two weeks and I'm slowly getting weaker especially when I was trying to hold the force field. It has been 3 days since I couldn't hold the force field and in them 3 days it's been hell. I've gained more cuts and scars to join the old ones. No one has fed me in 2 weeks and I'm starting to feel sick. I heard the cell door open and I shrunk back into the corner but the only difference with this time there was a metal noise with something hitting the floor. I looked up and was shocked when our eyes meet time stopped. I took a deep breath and smelt vanilla and orange. 'Oh s**t' I thought. 'It doesn't matter we love Jake.' 'You're right midnight. I love Jake.' Just as I was thinking of Jake the man walked closer to me and bend down to my height. "Hey love. Please eat something." I pushed the tray closer to me but I just pushed it back and said "I don't need that I'm getting out off here... tonight." "B-but I've just found you.." He hissed. "Oh a vampire I see, well I don't care I have my mate and I love him." With that he hissed again and grabbed me by the neck and lifted me off the floor and whispered in my ear "No one can have you but me." It sent a shiver down my spine but not in a good way. "But you do know that the Prince wants me. Right?" He let go of my neck and looked frozen. He whispered under his breath "Shit.." and turned around and stormed out. 'Oh this is gonna be fun.' Midnight laughed. 'I know. I wonder how this is gonna play out. But we are getting out of here tonight.' I stated.

I looked at the food and decided against it and just lend back onto the wall thinking of Jake. 'Scar I love you.. please come back to me..' I heard jakes voice in my head. 'Midnight is that true?' 'Yes Jake misses us sooo much and is doing everything to find us but there is no sent of us anywhere, and everyone is too scared of the Prince.' 'It's final we are getting out and we are killing that sock Prince and this will be over once and for all.' I was brought out of talking to Midnight but the cell door opening 'Oh shit.. not again.'

*4 hours later*

I woke up to screaming coming from upstairs. I felt apart of me break and I knew that the Prince has killed my soul mate. I felt my vampire shrink to the back of my head. 'He hurt us, he betrayed us Lilith, he must have told the Prince we were his soul mate and that we were gonna escape, no soul mate should do that. He was selfish.' I told my vampire. 'I guess you're right, we have Jake.' 'Now let's gets out of here .' They said together.

I used what strength I had left and pulled against the chains around my wrist and it broke. I got up and ran straight at the door and broke it off its hinges. This got the attention of the guards and the can running at me. I let my demon wings out, my fangs and my claws. I flew towards them and killed them instantly. After I took care of them I made my way upstairs and killed anyone in my way all I saw now was red. I made my way to the throne room and stood at the door with blood dripped of my fangs and claws. I made eye contact with the Prince and his eye widened. "It's time for you to die Prince." With that I flew straight towards him and held him by his throat. I got closer to his ear and said "Who needs a hero, when you have yourself." I moved away and said "This is for killing my soul mate and keeping me from my mate. I would never love you prince." And with that I plunged my hand into his chest and ripped his heart and and threw it across the room. I watched the light in his eyes she out. I turned around and saw the shocked faces of everyone in the room. "If anyone thinks of taking me or anyone I love away your life will end the same way." And I walked away.

As soon as I was outside I turned into my wolf and let her take over. I know she would know where Jake was. We flew past trees and the wind in my fur made me forget what had happened. We'd been running for probably 6 hours and it was getting dark. I knew we were approaching Jake's land because midnight was getting excited and so was I. I can't wait to see him again. After another half an hour I started to recognize the area. 'We're close.' I thought as we kept on running.

I'd made it to the pack house without anyone seeing me and shifted back with my now torn and ripped clothes. "JAKE!" I screamed feeling weaker. I heard footsteps pondering down the stairs and then they stopped. I looked up and locked eyes with his amazing emerald eyes which started to water.

"Honey I'm home"
