The Villa had been sacked, and Lucifer had moved his entire operation across the globe to Los Angeles, California. He despised the view, the buildings and the commercialized beach. But he had found a few places that suited his tastes and found it easier to operate from there. It was not quite as secluded as Southern France, it was also wide open for attack if they were stupid enough to get that close. Things had been worked out between the three of them, or rather; Lucian and Lucifer came to an agreement. They would share her. This came as no surprise to her, though she had hoped that Lucian would fight for her more than he had.
They had just celebrated David's fifth birthday; though resources were low and half his army was dead, Lucifer spared nothing. It seemed the war had stopped so this little boy could celebrate his Birthday normally. He was the only child left on earth after all. After all was done, his gifts opened, and everybody had left to lock down the area she sat at his bedside and smoothed his hair back. "Happy Birthday David. Did you have a nice day?"
"Yes, Mama, I did."
"Good. You go to sleep now. You've had a long day. I'll see you in the morning." She leaned down and kissed his forehead and stood up. She watched him a moment, still not sure what his fate would be and turned the light off, and pulled the door just closed. She looked to the new nanny, a female lower demon. She was new, and had not yet fallen into the unusual schedule of the house. "Caldaire, keep him in his room tonight." Her order was firm, as the new girl had not done her job very well since Baham had been slaughtered. Walking down the hall way, to the master bedroom, she opened the double doors and grinned a little. "Hello Boys."
..........
It was not often she had them at the same time; she preferred them on their own. But every now and then she wanted a little more attention and she would take them both into her bed. Straddling Lucian, her hands pressed against his chest, his hands firmly on her hips. Lucifer took one of her arms and pierced the wound on her wrist with a piece of jewelry at the end of his thumb that ended in a sharp point. She bit her cheek to keep from wincing. The wounds were so sensitive to touch, and when he did that, it often felt like he was shoving a hot poker into her arm. Feeling his tongue along her arm where the blood ran, her heart beat faster.
The door opened slowly, light creeping into the darkened room. David walked in carrying his blanket and rubbing his eyes. "Mama, I had a bad dream..." He looked up at the three of them, squinty eyed, and she pulled the sheet up over her waist.
"Go back to bed baby....Caldaire! Get him out of here!" she yelled only stopping her words a moment before looking over her shoulder as she hurried in and picked David up. "Out, get him out!" The two of them disappeared and the door closed again. She found herself being pulled off of Lucian, Lucifer’s fingers around her neck. "She has to go, Lucifer. This is the second time that's happened." She wrapped her fingers around his arm, making sure he didn’t forget his hands were around her neck.
"I will take care of it in the morning..."
........
She had dozed off, lying on her stomach, her arms up under a pillow, sheets stained red from open wounds pulled up only to her waist, her scared back was exposed and she could feel his hand run over her skin, pulling her long dark hair to one side. "Elohim must be out of his mind to destroy a body like this..."
"Or just very angry." She turned her head and looked at him. He had himself propped up on his elbow, hand still running down her back. "Is he asleep?" Lucian had turned his back to them a while ago.
"Yes, “A finger traced over a long scar at the small of her back. "Do you still feel guilty?"
"Yes, of course I do. I belong to Lucian; not you.”
"You belonged to me, Addison. I gave you to him so he would stop whining about Sarah." He ran his hand over her head like she was a pet, smoothing down her hair. "There is no need for you to feel guilty. It was going to happen whether you wanted it to or not..." she yawned and buried her face in the pillow a moment. A muffled voice came out from behind the down and cotton.
"What happens to David, Lucifer?"
"David? You are not ready to hear about David, Addison. You are still too much his mother, it will only upset you."
"It upsets me not knowing. And Caldaire, where did you find her? That is the second time that David has walked in on us...I don't like it."
"I know. I will take care of it in the morning like I promised."
"I should go see him, make sure he is okay." She propped herself up on her elbows and made a move to leave and she felt pressure on her shoulders, fingers digging into her skin.
"He's fine.”
