Chapter 3
I MADE MY WAY THROUGH the portal jumps and back to my bedroom, which was once the room our father had made for Ava. Despite the fact that I loved getting back to work after everything that had happened, I was exhausted. It felt good to be home.
I glanced around the room. Little things stuck out that were clearly touches my older sister had done to make the room hers. Food stuffs, posters of the band 5-in-1, the wardrobe filled with clothes there was never a chance I would wear. I didn’t change anything. They reminded me so much of Ava that it felt nice to have the subtle reminders of her.
