Shift

 AISHA

"Do you reject me?" Kob asked.

"I thought you are rejecting me?" I emphasized the you.

"Why would I do that?" He asked.

I snuggled closer to Nate.

"Because I'm an omega", I whispered. Nate immediately hugged me.

Kob growled and pulled me towards him, hugging me.

"Never. I love you, Aisha" He said.

Nate left giving us privacy which I am thankful for. Do I love him? Of course, I do! But what if he hurts me? What if he gets tired? Then I'll be left alone. Cause that's the sad truth when we break up: He will just be a stranger that knows all my secrets

"Kob I"

He cut me off "It is okay if you don't say it back. Take your time."

I smiled and nodded.

JAKOB

It hurts that she couldn't say it back. But I have to try my best to understand her.

"I want you to stay in my room. And any room I will be in, you will be in as well. Except if there's an attack." I ordered with a hint of my alpha tone.

My wolf was anxious about everything that happened. He couldn't stay calm knowing that someone touched our mate. She looked sadden and angry. I would rather have her hate me if it means she will be safe than her be in love with me but in constant danger.

"Y-yes a-alpha" She stuttered sadly.

It hurts for her to call me alpha. She's my equal. She's my mate Samantha came in and told us she could leave later and the pills strengthen her heart. I told her to stay and rest for the night. We were sleeping now. Some pack guards were outside for the night. I was awakened by an ear shattering scream.

"AISHA? What happened?!" I screamed frantically.

Another scream came from her. The guards and Samantha immediately rushed to the room.

THIRD PERSON

Jakob watched helplessly as his mate screamed for the third time. This time, however, she had words.

"MAKE IT STOP" Aisha screamed 

As another unbelievable wave of pain wash over her body. She gripped the railings of her hospital bed. Jakob immediately held her hand in a desperate but futile attempt to stop her pain. The sparks from her mate eased up her pain, but it was not enough to stop it. Samantha stood there helplessly. She would have to wait for Aisha's shift to see if her heart, her body in general, was able to handle it. Everyone watched as their luna arched her back in pain and screamed another time. Begging them to help her. Jakob called for Nate. Although he hated his guts, he knew that Aisha would want Nate to be there when she shifts. There was an undeniable stab in his heart and a major kick to his ego. However, with her mate being in pain, he did not care. A nurse approached Samantha showing her a watch. 15 Minutes. For more than 15 minutes, she has been trying to shift. This worried Samantha for she knows it should take 5 minutes tops.

"She's taking too long!" She yelled for her alpha to hear.

Nate arrived just in time to hear that she was taking too long. He could not lose his best friend. He could not stand to lose the person who was there for him. Even though he wasn't there for her, she was there for him.

Jakob held her hand tighter and knelt. "Please. Please! I know you can do this! Baby! I love you!" He sobbed. He could not care less for the pack members standing there watching.

Watching as their big and strong alpha beg on his knees crying for his mate. Then silence. It was so silent, you could hear a pin drop. Everyone's eyes were close. Tears on the two strongest people, Nate and Jakob, in the room. Both in their knees eyes closed and tears streaming down. Everyone's thought was that she was dead. Jakob's mate is dead. Nate's best friend is dead. The pack's luna is dead. Jakob felt a fluffy thing touch his hand. He thought it was the blanket. In the midst of silence, a purring was heard. Jakob was angry, until he found out that it was him that purred. 'Why would I purr?' He thought. He opened his eyes and there in wolf form was his mate. He got up from his knees and hugged her wolf in happiness. He wolf snapped at him playfully. Everyone was confused. Slowly, they opened their eyes and saw their alpha hugging a wolf. Aisha felt relieved as the pain subsided. She was in all fours. She watched as everyone close their eyes and cried. Kob was knelt beside her bed crying and so was Nate. She placed her paw on his hand and he purred. She smirked, mentally, when he reacted. He opened his eyes and he hugged her. She snapped playfully at him.

"Oh my god!" Nate sighed relieved.

"Don't scare me like that again, fish sticks!" He added.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Samantha and the nurses quickly checked her vitals.

'How do you shift back?' Aisha's mind linked Jakob. Jakob smirked.

"Out" He ordered everyone. Everyone, even Nate, followed.

"Imagine yourself in human form baby" He said

She did as she was told, and she felt her bones twist back. Aisha was now in human form. She looked at Jakob and his eyes were dark with lust. She hugged him and snuggled closer to him. Jakob growled as his mate's bare chest hit his. The view was so near and clear. She blushed when she saw she was completely naked. She pulled away from the hug, however Jakib had other ideas. He leaned over and towered Aisha. Aisha, who was now lying down, looked at the love of his life.

'Am I ready for this?' She thought. His lips captured her and her sanity went away.

It was perfect for the two. Jakob broke the kiss and trailed kisses to her neck. Aisha moaned as Jakob kissed the place where he would mark her.

'I am ready for it', She thought.

"Mark me", She moaned.

Without needing to be told twice, Jakob sunk his canines to her. She screamed in pain, which eventually turned into a moan. He licked the blood after he pulled his canines.

"I love you", She whispered. Jakob was surprised. He did not expect to hear those words too soon. However, he is not complaining.

"I love you too, baby!" He said and he attacked his lips again.

"We should stop", He said.

Aisha felt hurt but covered it with a smile. Did her mate not want her? Is it because she was used? Is it the scars? The bruises?

And that is how she slept. Her mind looking for answers. While Jakob slept completely contented. He needed to stop, or he would take her right then and there. He knew she was not ready.
