A Different Way to be Luna

The months in the pack go by quickly. Samantha, Amanda and Lea are now my best friends. Right now, Kob and Xavier is in a meeting. Dez, Lucas' mate, is on bed rest because she's preggers. We are playing truth or dare. It was my turn and I picked the truth.

"First time you got drunk?" Lea asked.

"Never drunk before", I said shrugging.

"WHAT?!" They screamed in unison.

"We have to change that. Tell you what. Blaire's mate, Mitchell, is hosting a party for his birthday", Amanda said.

"And you, our little luna, will go with us", Lea added.

"Will Kob be there?" I asked.

"Yeah, of course. Jakob and Mitch go way back", Amanda said. I sighed and nodded. It was getting late and the girls decided to call it a night.

'Kob, are you done yet?' I asked through mind link.

'Get the rest baby. I'm almost done for the day'

I showered and slept. I woke up to my phone playing Heartbeat Song. It was my alarm.

'Good morning princess. I'm in my office. I need to get these finished before the party' Kob mind linked me.

'Okay', I replied.

Lately, we haven't been spending time with each other cause he's always in his office. If I can have my way, I would burn that office down. That way, he will have to spend time with me. I sighed and ate my yogurt on the swings in the backyard. There are pups playing and their mothers watching. Maybe one day, my pup will be there and I would be watching with the mothers. Maybe.

" Why you sad luna?" A pup asked. Immediately a blonde girl came rushing

"I am so sorry about my son luna", The girl said. I smiled.

I took in the girl's appearance. She was in her late twenties. Blue eyes and curvy. She looks so pretty, but at the same time, tired.

"No need. Hey, if you want I can watch over him for a few hours. You look like you can use time for yourself", I offered.

"I can't luna. Jonathan here can be a handful. I don't like to trouble you"She replied.

"It is no trouble. Besides, Jonathan can keep me company." I smiled reassuringly.

She sighed.

"Okay. Thank you luna" She walked inside.

"Hey Jojo. Wanna spend time with me while my mommy rest?" I asked.

"Jojo?" He asked cutely.

"Yeah. Only I get to call you Jojo okay?" I said in a secretive tone.

"Its out secret luna?"

I nodded. "No need to call me luna. My name is Aisha"

"Ais!!" he giggled.

"Ais?"

"Ais calls me Jojo. Jojo calls you Ais. Only Jojo" He said. He smiled at me showing some of his front teeth are missing.

"It's our secret then", I said winking.

He blinked, then giggle. I'm guessing he was trying to wink back. We played hide-and-seek with some of his friends, and then we played tag. After a lot of running and giggling I asked for their change of clothes and changed them. We were al sweaty. After changing them, I changed my clothes. Now, we are all lying down on the grass. Logan, a brunette 2-year old, was hugging my left hand. Marie, another brunette but was 1 and a half year old, was hugging my right hand. Jojo was resting in my stomach. Tina, a blonde 3-year old, was hugging my right leg. Her head also resting in my hip. Liam, a black haired 2 and a half year old, was in the same position as Tina but on my left leg. I told their mothers to take a break while I played with them. They were hesitant, so I commanded them to take a break.

'Aisha, where are you? I'm finally done. Let's watch a movie or something', Kob said in mind link.

"Come to the backyard' I replied.

'What are you doing there?' Amusement laced in his question.

'You'll see' Within minutes Kob, Xavier and Samantha was around me.

"What is going on in here?" Kob asked a little too loud.

The kids stirred. "SHHHH" I hissed.

"You're going to wake them up!" I whisper yelled.

Kob, Xavier and Samantha carried them off me. Kob has Tina and Liam. Xavier has Logan and Samantha obviously has Marie. Jojo is still clinging on to me while I cradled him. Their mothers were on the dining room looking refreshed and laughing with some pack members. When we entered their eyes went wide and rushed over to us. More people went inside the dining room minutes after we entered.

"Oh my. We are so sorry, luna, alpha, beta and beta female", Karren, Logan's mom, apologized.

"You let your luna take care of five kids while you laugh and relax?" Kob asked harshly. The woman whimpered.

"It's okay. I ordered them to leave their children with me", I said. Everyone's eyes snapped to mine.

"What?" I asked softly.

"Why would you do that?" Samantha asked.

"Cause I'm luna and I can", I replied.

Jojo woke up. "Ais?"

Everyone gasped as he called me by my name, not luna. Usually, wolves with no high rank calls the higher rank wolves by their title. Especially pups, pups are required to call by title. Usually.

"Yes Jojo?" I said zoning out everyone in the room.

"Can you make me sandwich" I nodded and carried him to the counter where the bread is.I started putting Jelly for peanut butter and Jam sandwich.

"NO!" He shouted. Everyone gasped and started murmuring things.

"Oh Jonathan, you can't shout at the luna!" Jenna, Jojo's mom, scolded. Jojo started to tear up.

"Sorry Ais" He sobbed.

"Shhh, it is okay Jojo." I said, bouncing him slightly in my hip.

"Ais not mad?"

"No Jojo, Ais is not mad. But you can't shout at anybody okay?" O said soothingly.

"Nobody?"

"Nobody. Unless it's an emergency", I confirmed.

"Otay", he replied.

"Promise?"

"Promise", He confirmed.

I finished the Peanut butter and Jam sandwich and gave to Kob. I took the nutella out and made a nutella sandwich fo Jojo. The kids woke up a few minutes ago.

"Us too!!" They chanted. Their mothers scolded them.

"It's okay really. Who else would like some sandwich?" I asked. No one but the kids answered. I pouted my lips and faked cried. Kob growled. 

"Why are you crying?"

"No one wants to eat my sandwich. Am I a bad cook?" I said faking sadness.

"Uhmm. Luna, I would like some if you don't mind" A teenage boy said.I smiled.

 "Will turkey be okay? I think the kids will finish the nutella", I asked.

"Of course luna" He replied.

"Drop the luna sh-shuwi-shahh- shnudzle?" I said remembering kids were there.

The pack burst into laughter but quickly quited down. Everyone was quiet while I laugh my ass off.

"You guys. It's fine. You can do anything around me. Not sure around mr. Grumpy pants, but you can do anything with me! That's an order!" I said shouting the last sentence.

"Well, that's a different way to be a luna" kob muttered.

I made their sandwiches, the kids' first of course.
