The Sensuous Encounter

Jane's POV: I stood stunned and terrified as I felt those eyes trained on me. My surroundings had drowned into nothingness and the only thing I was now aware of were those pairs of red eyes that were nearing me inch by inch. I could see death dancing in their eyes, my death. And in the subsequent moment, another realization hit me when I finally saw their form when the moon shed its light on them. It struck me like lightning. They were THE WEREWOLVES. The creature we used to dismiss as a myth. I was surrounded by a bunch of murderous werewolves. Damn! I should have believed those rumors. At that moment, I was defenseless, hence completely at their mercy. They were standing right before me, staring at me. I counted again, I was going to be killed by three gigantic werewolves. After a moment of stillness, one of them pounced on me and I clamped shut my eyes in fear. The image of my brother flashed and a drop of tear spilled out my left eye. It is then I heard a roar.  An earth-shattering roar that made my heart skip a beat. The roar soon got followed by a bleat and then once again silence engulfed the forest. I did not dare to open my eyes until I got curious about why I was still alive. I flitted my eyes open and saw HIM. A guy. He was standing just a few inches away. I caught him gazing at my lips and then he bore his eyes into mine. His eyes were holding different emotions, happiness, pain, and most of all surprise. His bow-shaped lips were parted in astonishment as if he had seen some magic. His perfectly carved nose reminded me of Greek Gods. And his eyes, well his coral blue eyes that were still exploring my face was too much to explain. He must be an angel, I thought to myself. Am I already in heaven? Did those freaking giant dogs kill me? Where are they? I broke eye contact and looked around for a clue.  “Where are they?” I said under the breath. “They are gone. You are safe,” a deep masculine voice fell into my ear. I looked back at him. This time he was walking towards me or should I say gravitating? His eyes had not left my face since we met. I felt a surge of fear all through my body forcing me to take a step back. He noticed that but he did not stop. I turned my gaze down at the ground in fear and that is when I realized he was naked. s**t! Not a piece of cloth on him. I looked at him again in shock but the guy seemed to be in his own trance. Sure, he had a hot, sexy, and worth-drooling-over body but that doesn’t mean he should walk around naked. And he should definitely not approach a girl in such a state. His every step towards me made the thumping of my heart louder. He finally stopped. He stopped when his face was just an inch away from mine. He was taller than I. Towering over me, he lifted his hand. He reached out his hand to touch me. I could feel his warm breath smashing against my forehead causing a tingling sensation on my skin. I did not know what was going on nor did I care. The heat I was feeling had numbed my senses. His hand had almost reached my lips when I heard a shout.  “Jane, where are you?” a familiar voice snapped me out of my trance. He retracted his hand grudgingly. He too was taken aback by the sudden interruption and I witnessed pain and craving both floating in his eyes. This was strange. He reluctantly took a few steps back and phased into a werewolf. HE WAS A WEREWOLF. A giant black werewolf. Once again, I felt my heart leaped up to my mouth as he advanced towards me. He did not want to leave. But all of a sudden he stopped and let out a sharp growl that conveyed his anger. He eyed me up again before turning around and running away. And just like that, the monstrous werewolf vanished into the thin air. And with his disappearance, Shirley came into my sight. “Jane? Oh my god. Are you all right?” Shirley’s asked me worryingly as I stood there trying to make sense of what I had just witnessed. With a torch in one hand, she grabbed my hand with another and dragged me out of the forest. We were out of it in a matter of a few minutes. She took a sigh of relief. What did just happen? I wondered.  I kept tossing and turning on the bed as sleep had eluded me like always. I shot a glance at the clock to check the time: 12:00 AM, it pointed. Five hours ago, I was in the woods surrounded by werewolves. The creature that I thought existed only in folklore. They are real. THEY ARE SO FREAKING REAL! What should I do now? Who should I talk to about it? Mike has gone and will never believe me. Are they the ones? Did they kill my brother?  The encounter had left me with tons of questions and an inexplicable feeling. I needed to solve this mystery as it was driving me crazy. I opened my laptop and looked up “Werewolves” on the internet. The search churned out lots of details and I firmed myself up to read all of them- word by word. I had completely immersed myself in the research when a thunderous howl broke my concentration. I had never heard a howl before. I should have been scared but I felt something different. This was not meant to scare anybody. It reeked of pain, helplessness, and DESIRE. I threw another look at the clock that signaled to 3:00 AM. I shut down the laptop as the sleep gradually clouded over my senses.  “You must have mistaken. Those things don’t exist and you know that.” Shirley tried to talk some sense into me. “No. I am very sure that I saw werewolves. They exist and they have killed Mike.” My eyes welled up as Mike’s face flashed before my eyes. “And I’ll make sure I get my brother the justice he deserves.” I avowed with a clenched fist and determined soul. Shirley rose up from the bed and stood next to me by the corner of the window. She rested her one hand on my shoulder and asked,  “ Jane what’s on your mind? What are you planning to do?” I looked at her and finally uttered the word that was lingering on the edge of my tongue since Mike’s death, “Revenge.” Shirley fired back at me, “Are you crazy? You will take revenge on werewolves? Do you know how powerful they are if they truly exist. You are losing it. Have you given a thought about the conse...” “I don’t care about the consequences, Shirley. I have seen the worst. I have seen my only family, my Mike lying lifeless on a cold bed in that hospital. What did he do to deserve that? He was the purest soul I knew who taught me compassion, respect, and how to care. And someone took him away from me. What did I do to deserve that? You think I am going to let the murderer get away without paying for it? They will have to pay. Let them care about the consequences. All I care about is revenge.” I cut her off.        “And you think you can take down The Werewolves all by yourself?” she said sarcastically. “ No, I can’t but I know someone who can,” I replied mysteriously. My answer piqued her interest. She quizzed, “Who?” I couldn’t answer her because I didn’t know his name. We had met once and that too in the woods. Although he didn’t say much, I knew he was drawn to me. His coral blue eyes had spilled it all. I could see the desire burning in his eyes. A desire for my touch.
