"Ahm, are you sure that you need it? You're not going to do something crazy, right?"

I shook my head when I saw his confused reaction when he heard my words. He is really confused right now since I didn't tell him the complete details about my reason for wanting the device right now.

I also know that he is hesitating to give it to me since who knows if I'm really going to use it or if I'm just going to confiscate it or something?

I took a deep breath. I hate explaining things a lot to others, and right now I am trying hard to keep my patience in tact.

"The device that I need to have right now, I will use it to contact my friend and not to contact my family. If you are still hesitant to give it to me, then I have no choice but to go back to our world and tell them about all the lycans that are living here. You see? I'm not here to investigate all of you that are living here. I came here for personal reasons. Tsk!"

"I'm going to give it to you, but please give it back to me if you don't need it anymore." He looked around before touching his pocket. He looks like he is searching for something in his pocket.

My eyebrows met with confusion while looking in his direction. What is he doing right now? I am borrowing his communication device, but actually, I don't have any idea what it looks like. Maybe it is something small that could actually fit in his pocket right now.

I could not help but smirk when I realized something. Now that I remember I haven't replied to his words yet, and he looks like he is waiting for my response right now before he can actually give me the things that I am asking him right now.

"Right. It's our deal, but don't give me a deadline. When am I going to give it back to you?" I replied.

He took a deep breath before finally giving me the things that I had asked him earlier. He gave me a small thing that looks like a small pendant. It is so small that if I don't hold it carefully, I will probably lose it.

When I finally held it, I could not hide the smile on my face anymore.

"Could you tell me how to use it?"

"Yeah. Just put it to your ears like some kind of earrings, and some words or numbers will appear in front of you. Just type the name that you want to contact in the other world, and even if he is not using the same thing, you can still contact him without a problem. Your voice will reach his ears no matter how far he is away from you."

I was stunned because I could not believe that this amazing device actually existed.

"Alright. Thank you so much again." I tapped his shoulder.

I was about to leave, but he said another word again.

"My name is Reico. Please don't forget that. Just call my name, and wherever you are, I will go to your place right away if you're ready to give it back to me."

I nodded in response to his statement and finally walked away from him.

I don't know why, but while walking, my heart is pumping really hard too. I could not think of anything but to contact Nico right away.

I'm so excited to know any information about that woman. I mean, about Ivory.

When I saw a park nearby the house of Ivory, I sat on the bench over there and immediately put the device to my right ear.

I looked around before putting my attention on the information that appeared in front of me right now.

Even if Ivory saw me here, I just need to hide the device that I got. I'm not actually talking to anyone right now, and Ivory didn't appear in front of me while I was talking to Reico earlier. So now I'm safe. I just need to be careful while talking to Nico once I successfully talk to him.

I took a deep breath and finally typed the name of Nico, my vampire friend.

I heard the long sound of a bell inside the church, and I almost laughed because of that. Really? A sound of the church bell when I'm calling my vampire friend? Is he seriously at that place right now?

I don't think he could stay there any longer, but I also don't know his reason for going there. Maybe I'm just going to ask him after I go back to our world when I finish my mission here.

"Nico." I called his name, but I just got a heavy breath in response.

My eyebrows met with confusion. What is happening to his side?

Before, I thought silly things when I heard the sound of the bell. But now I feel that there is something strange going on over there.

"Nico, this is Clayton. Could you hear me?"

I didn't speak loudly since I'm in the park right now and there are a lot of people here right now. They will probably think that I'm weird or a random freak if I speak loudly while I'm alone right now.

Anyway, I almost wanted to shout earlier when I heard his heavy breath. My mind is telling me that there is really something going on over there right now.

"Clayton?"

I could still hear his heavy breath, but right now, Nico finally replied to me.
