Why if it isn't the three musketeers
"THE f**k?" My friend Justin didn't seem too happy to lose in COD.
"HA! sucker!" I always won, yet he kept betting money on me, saying he would win.
"How much do I owe you?"
"30 dollars" He lost 6 times in a row.
"s**t" I could hear his mother yell at him for his language through my headphones so I only laughed before we signed off.
I went upstairs and changed into my pajamas. I listened to music in my room while I changed and prepared for bed. I love doing this since there's no one in the house, and I can blast the music. Boy in the Bubble by Alec Benjamin came on while I brushed my teeth so I bopped my head slowly with the beat.
I slid into the comforts of my bed as I turned off the music. I was definitely not sleepy, so I grabbed my sketchbook and started flipping through the pages. I sketch in my free time or when I'm bored, which was most of the time. I found a blank page and grabbed a pencil from my nightstand. I started drawing, not exactly knowing what I was going for, but that's how I start most of my drawings.
After a few minutes, my eyes started to close so I placed my book and pencil on the nightstand and drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, I woke up to the sound my alarm ringing and let out a groan as I turned it off.
First day of junior year, hooray.
At least I get to see my friends, I thought. We haven't been all together in a few weeks. Most of them were on vacation or simply liked the alone time, like me. At least my best friend Alex was here. We hung out almost every day and wouldn't get bored.
I got up and took a shower, and to be honest to all you people who don't shower before going out, why? After the shower, I put on my blue jeans and a Nike black T-shirt. I tied a black hoodie on my waist and put on my white converse before I grabbed my backpack and phone then went out the main door. I walked to school calmly, and when I got there I saw my friends all huddled up in a circle in the hallway like always.
Let me introduce them;
Sam: my best friend since... diapers. (yes that was a Heathers reference) Her curly hair in a high ponytail like always. Her dark skin makes her stand out from the rest.
Andy: her name is Andrea but we just call her Andy. Her Bob styled hair dark but her skin as pale as snow. She's kind of like a real-life Snowhite with the personality and everything.
Nicky: K-Pop fan, maybe a little too much. Chubbier than others but we love her and tell her that appearance isn't what matters. Plus, what's wrong with a few extra pounds?
Fatima: bipolar but sweet, and a former 1D fan. She still loves them but won't accept it. Her long curly hair half up, and her freckles contrasting her skin beautifully.
Iren and Alex: They're actually pretty new to the group. We found them being bullied by their former friends, who were actually not very popular so that explains why we never heard of them. We welcomed them in our group and they blended in pretty nicely.
My friends and I are pretty popular, but we're no short skirt bitches. That's actually another group; we call them the Gossip March. They fight for popularity, but we were crackheads and got along with everyone, so I guess that puts them in second place.
I was like the leader of the group since everyone looked at me when making a decision that affected us all. But I didn't take that role as a power boost or something, it was flattering but I guess it was normal since I got good grades, did sports, popular, knew how to draw, etc. It wasn't a surprise anymore.
"Hey, Sara" My thoughts were interrupted as an arm was placed around my shoulders. I looked to my side to find Sam, smiling at me.
"Hey, Sam" I smiled back as she unwrapped her arm from my shoulders and walked with me to my friends.
Everyone greeted me and continued to talk filling me in on the conversation.
"Hey, give me my Snicker back!" Alex said to Iren who had taken her chocolate.
"Nuh-uh," Iren said shaking her head and taking a bite of the Snicker.
"YOU GIVE ME THAT RIGHT NOW"
"NO"
"YES"
"Stupid"
"Jerk"
"Dork"
"Jackass"
"Donkey"
"Wait, what?"
"Huh don't know where that came from"
"So, everyone signed up for this year?" I asked Nicky, Andy, and Sam, ignoring the two.
"Yup"
"Uh-huh"
"Yeah"
"Thank god, we can't have an incomplete team with all these people leaving" We were in the basketball team, but some people were leaving the team because of studies and stuff, so I was worried my friends would abandon me too. Fortunately, they loved more than to do that.
The bell rang, telling us to go to our classrooms. We all looked at our schedules and found out we had only one class where we were all together. But we had classes were only some of us were together so that didn't matter.
I walked to my first class with everyone on my side, we all separated where the hallway ended and in small groups walked to our different classes. I was with Andy and Sam first. The teachers called us the dynamic trio because we all worked well together. That works in basketball and any other situation.
I walked into the classroom with Andy and Sam by my sides. I made my way to my desk in the back right corner next to the window and Andy sat down in front of me as Sam sat at my left.
We started talking but got interrupted by the teacher walking in and saying:
"Good morning!" he placed his things at his desk and turned to look at the three of us. "Why if it isn't the three musketeers" he liked to call us that too.
"Hello Mr. Jones," I said with a smug grin on my face that made my friends snicker. "What information that we will probably not use in the future will you tell us today?" this comment had the rest of the class laughing, even the teacher. I looked around inspecting my classmates to see if the Gossip March was here, but to my relief, they weren't. Everyone was laughing except a guy who was staring at me with no emotion on his face. He had dark brown hair and blue eyes that bore into mine with an emotion I could tell wasn't pretty. I raised my eyebrow at him but he continued to stare at me, no emotion visible in his expression.
"Well, how about we call it history for now?" Mr. Jones said when the class calmed down a little.
"If you say so" When the teacher turned around to start teaching I glanced at the guy from before and saw he was now looking at the board, so I shrugged it off and paid attention to what the teacher was writing on the board.
