The Unexpected

    Henry had a lot of emotion written on his face, but the ones that I saw the most was a mix of confusion, worry, and sadness all wrapped in one. I didn't see any emotion that was shining through that was the most dominate. After we exchanged looks he finally spoke. "Yes, she is fairly hungry, I was actually just about to go and get her some bread. I was also thinking a piece of meat. I know that we save those for special. . ." Henry was cut off by Jenny."That would be a splendid idea, we don't even know the last time she ate a decent meal." Henry looked a little more twisted with emotion before he ran off to the tent that held the food I turned to start walking to the carriage that I have been getting more comfortable in. Just before I opened the curtain to hop into the carriage the creepy guy from earlier walked up to us and then spoke to Jenny and after they exchanged a few words she walked away and then he walked up to me. He leaned in a little too close for my taste, I knew that if I hugged Jack I would have to endure more closeness from the others and I will have to live with that because I did bring it on myself, but I was hoping that he would've been out collecting water so that he would eventually hear about it but that would've at least given me a few days to mentally prepare for this interaction. He leaned against the post on the wagon then leaned a little too close "Hey there sweet little girl I just wanted to introduce myself, I am Jared I have been with Jenny and Jack since the beginning if there is anything you need just ask okay?" he was so close that I can see clearly what he looked like. He has some dirty blonde hair that was a little long and looked kind of like a mop on his head. He also had these brown almost black looking eyes, I just didn't trust him at all. He reached a hand to gently slide down the length of my arm. I shivered and was going to start to tremble, thankfully Henry was running up to me yelling my new name all the while getting closer and closer. "I will have my way with you once I can get you alone long enough and I know that you will like it just as much if not more than me. Then I will make you my wife and we will live happily ever after." I shrank back into the carriage as Henry approached and Jared slipped away without anyone hearing what he had just said and I can't tell anyone they wouldn't believe me anyway they all have known Jared way longer and the fact that 3 girls could be on his side just to get revenge on me because everyone stood by me instead of being on their side and if those girls are going to be like that they can do what they want, I don't intend to be broken that easily, but the fact that they might side with Jared still kind of scares me a little bit at what they would do to me to help him. Henry returned with a sandwich, I don't know what the meat was but once I smelt it my stomach betrayed me and made this loud noise that I didn't know that a stomach could make."I didn't know that such a small person could make such a loud noise." Henry said giggling while stretching out his hand, I turned my head in order to refuse the food. Henry got angry "I am not playing these games with you Darci just take the dam sandwich." I shook my head and refused again. "I don't want to waste you food on someone like me. I will just wait until the next town and I will get me some food there." Henry was shocked and then hopped out of the carriage and as soon as he left I fell over unable to hold myself up anymore I was exhausted and didn't even notice. Once I started to wheeze I realized something wasn't right my eyes started to droop once I saw some shadow walking into the carriage I could make out one before I blacked out and then felt my body being moved and then some low chattering I think I am outside now I feel the night breeze and then I was set down. I forced my eyes to open, I saw that Jared was putting me down and that the three girls that were glaring at me were getting their revenge. I looked up at Jared and as soon as I noticed that I was a little too far away from camp. I couldn't yell for help, but I could tell that something was happening in that direction because some flames were illuminating in some other places, besides the flame illuminating the camp. I think that they are looking for me and that fact alone made me strong enough to want to fight back and if I can get away then the girls would not be pulled into this, I don't even care if Jared is caught maybe then he will either stop with this obsession with me or maybe even get him kicked out of the camp so I can feel just a little bit more safe. I struggled to stand, but once I am up I start to lean against one of the many trees that are around, one of the girls walked up to me and I can tell that she is different then the other two. "Hey, what are you doing? They will get mad if you stay standing just sit down and wait for Jared to be done with you." I stared at her and the other girls down then I tried to warn her about the lights in the distance she pulled me off the tree and pushed me down to the ground. In that moment I decided that I will not even try and save the girls I struggled to stand up again once I was up all the girls and Jared looked toward me and I stared at all of them I noticed that the torches in the distance are slowly getting closer and closer until it looked like they were close enough that if I were to start talking they would faintly hear my voice, or they would hear someone's voice and they will be lead straight to me and these monsters and catch them red handed. I locked eyes with Jared and then spoke. "Hey, Jared, what is with you why did you do this?" he looked me up and down like I was a prized piece of meat that he couldn't wait to devour. "That is a simple one I want for myself you refused to do this the nice way so I will have my way with you out here and then once you break you will be mine and mine alone. You will not talk to any man unless I tell you that it is okay. I can't wait to take you right here, I just have so many fun things in mind," I was sickened at the thought, but to get into his head so that he doesn't touch me before they reach us I continued the conversation. "Well, I don't know why you need to break me I was just so shocked and flattered that you such a wonderful man would even want a lowly woman like me." I said innocently and saw that he was buying it for now so I continued " What you made you want to have such a pathetic woman, like me, by such an outstanding man's side?" I could see that he bought the innocent girl hook line and sinker. In the next moment he started to walk up to me he then tried to put his arm around me once he did I started to have the worst flashbacks that I have had since they started and then I doubled over in so much pain. I must have been wearing an expression that was scaring the girls, or maybe it was my scream that was coming from my lips. It scared those girls so bad that they just froze in their spots. I don't know what I like but Jared wasn't scared in fact he was scared for me and he knelt by my side then I heard a rustling in the bushes and I saw Jack and Henry push past Jared and knelt beside him.
