"Ride or Die" Tor never knew his life would change so fast and dramatically in a span of three small words, especially as it came from a woman with the prettiest brown eyes seated in the middle of the motorcycle helmet with purple and black cat ears attached to them. He was more intrigued to find out who was behind the mask more than he was about the bullets that were flying over their heads at the moment, well being an almost 2500 year old Dragon wasn't helping the situation either. Iris didn't have time for relationships of any kind now that she was finally taking over her father's agency. Being next to take over her father's position names came with its share of work, but it was work she enjoyed, especially when she had to work her way from the bottom to get where she was. Another thing she forgot to worry about was the company came with some serious diplomatic meetings between races, so enemies was a dime a dozen and of course they had to interrupt her as she was chatting up a beast of a man that she almost hit on her rare time out on her motorcycle. The way his eyes locked on hers made Iris feel things she only hoped for. As bullets started popping off around them, she held out her hand desperate for moments longer, "Ride or die!"

You Feel Like Home
Home Iris has been dreaming about her childhood home a lot lately. Sitting on the porch swing on their wraparound porch, watching the slow rain drops cascade from the blue gray sky as thunder rumbled deep into the background. Those days when she didn't know about her dad's agency or of the things her father did to keep their family safe. The days when nothing was tainted by reality and she always felt safe. Iris sighed, bringing herself back to reality as she slowly released her dad's arm from her hold as they were training. "Iris, my girl, I thought you was finally about to take me out of the game," her father chuckled light heartily, but she could hear the slight note of pain in his voice as he rubbed his shoulder. Iris felt a quick rush of guilt as she smiled and handed her dad an ice pack. "I'm so sorry," Iris smiled sheepishly, "I guess I'm a little distracted."Care to talk about it with your old man?" Iris watched her dad as he patted the floor next to him. Her father has been training her since she was 12 to be able to protect herself, though at the time she didn't know from what. Little did she know her father was a leading man in a world built on fantasy, he was a human ambassador that bridged relationships between supernatural beings such as vampires, shapeshifters, and Fae to name a few. Imagine her surprise when he accidentally brought work home one day when she was 18 watching her father be flung through their front yard as her best friends boyfriend suddenly shifted into a werewolf. No one knew he was a shifter, not even he knew since he was orphaned and abandoned when he was a baby. The memory brought a small smile to her lips as she remembered the panicking and confusion which she could laugh at now, but at the time was down right scary realizing you're not at the top of the food chain like you originally thought. That was also the day she found out about her father's real job and was thrown into the world she lives in now. "Kiddo?" Her dad's voice snapped her back to reality as she quickly sat next to him. "I'm ok, really just been thinking about home lately. I guess I have been missing the peace lately." Iris watched her father nod slowly to her response. Markus Dayse despite his job was as handsome as ever with his dark skin and hazel eyes, if it wasn't for his salt and peppered hair and his deep crows feet, no one would be able to tell he was about to retire in a couple of years. Markus has been more than hinting at handing over his position to his daughter whenever he does, too. After her mother passed, her father has been more keen on her seeing more, meeting more people, that way she can find the person who she will give her all to and give him grandbabies, all so, according to him, he can 'find a new joy in life.' Iris smiled at her dad as he took her hand, squeezing his hand lovingly. "Iris, my baby girl, dreams hold power and dreams that repeat are very important," Markus stated as he looked into his daughters brown eyes with their sprinkle of gold glittering in the backgrounds. " Our blood is blended, and we are still learning about the different races that still exist and have existed before. You never know what power you hold no matter how small." He smiled at his daughter, " Maybe there is something you need there. Why don't you take a drive up there? Maybe it'll at least ease your soul." Iris returned his smile before helping him up off the floor. Her father has seen a lot of things and has met a lot of races, so she knew not to take his words lightly. Since she's been working with her father, she knew there was more at play with our lives than anyone could imagine. Packing up their things, Iris gave her dad a kiss on the cheek, and bear hugged him before driving off on her purple and black matte crotch rocket. In this line of work, she knew she needed to make sure her close ones knew how much she loved them because even though she worked on the safer side of things, everything could change in seconds. She has already lost a few friends to the darker side of the agency, humans and creatures alike. Another reason why her dad's idea sounded more appealing since she was currently on vacation so as to not be overloaded with the stress. With a slight nod, Iris made up her mind, making a quick U-turn and heading to her childhood home. It was only an hour's drive, and the pull to go was now stronger than ever. The closer Iris got, the more her skin came alive under her riding gear. She was about 15 minutes away when the air suddenly became electric, making her nerves sensitive and her breathing heavy. Iris suddenly felt drugged. She suddenly felt every rumble in her engine, each Rev up, and though she loved her bike, it wasn't in any way s****l which was slowly making her panic. Iris was so caught up in her sudden sensitivity, she barely caught sight of something very large swiftly landing a few yards a head of her, causing her to slam on her brakes and rip off her helmet, brushing her locs from her eyes. She watched a rumbling cloud engulf the large creature, its gleaming eyes staring at her through it. Iris skin blazed, and that drugged feeling only seemed to intensify the longer she stared into this creature's eyes. She has never felt like this before. The tension was out this world. It seemed like the both of them were waiting for something, and we both knew the other had it. No one blinked for a while, and Iris wasn't even sure she was breathing until the eyes of the creature disappeared and the cloud was gone with a gust of wind. Iris eyes now clashed with eyes that seemed to constantly swirl like storm clouds on a warm summer day. Instantly, she never felt more aroused and more at peace than she had her whole life. 'Home' the statement rushes through her mind, and she didn't know when the tears started streaming down her face. 'Why did she feel this way? Was this some type of magic?' Iris pinched herself hard just like she was trained to do for mental magic she could encounter and instantly winced. The feelings never left, and even the pain couldn't take a way from it. In fact, it made the pressure even more unbearable. "Who knew my mate would be my favorite dessert." Iris didn't know whether to close her eyes and moan or simply gawk the the things his voice did to her body, causing her to produce a strangled sound. 'Mate? Dessert?' "Are you going to eat me?" Iris whispered, loving the way his low chuckle rumbled in his chest as his eyes stared into hers. "Trust me, it'll be something we both enjoy if you want me to, that is." Iris barely restrained herself from shaking her head, yes. She wanted to. She has been with her dad's company long enough to understand the concept of mates. She has seen how strong the mate bond could be and have been saving herself for that kind of love. The man slowly stepped towards her. "My name is Tor Ri'all. May I know my woman's name?" he asked never breaking eye contact her. "Iris." She couldn't breathe and by time he stood in front of her, she was sure he saw the effect he had on her. "Iris," Tor whispered, " would it be too soon to taste you?" Iris was about to respond before a bullet whizzed over their heads and lodged into a tree a couple feet away.
