Chapter Four

'Mandy. Are you sure you scented a rogue?' My father mind linked me with pure confusion in his voice. I stood up and started to unlock the door. 'He is definitely not a rogue. I'm on my way there with him now. Stay with Alpha George'

I grimaced at my father's message and sat back down, waking up Thea. "Wake up baby. You still have 8 hours tonight to sleep."

She sat up looking a me and turned around on my lap looking at George. "Who are you?" she got into a protective stance facing the Alpha with her teeth showing.

"Settle down pumpkin. He won't hurt you, he's a nice guy." I wrapped my arms around Thea and kissed her forehead and she sat back down on my lap. Next thing I know my father walked in with, low and behold, Quentin Lance "Why am I not surprised. I'm going home. I need to give Thea a bath and I invited someone to stay over tonight."

I stood back up and Thea on my hip and headed towards the door. My father grabbed my arm and pulled me back into the room "Stay. Your net Alpha of this pack so you need to be apart of this meeting."

"Sorry but I called Hayden. He said he would help me watch Thea while I did homework." After I mentioned Hayden I looked over to Quentin and saw his eyes turn pitch black with pain and jealousy. I gave a small smirk and walked out of the room then out of the office.

I headed into my room with Thea as I figured Hayden would be waiting there for me. and I was right. He was siting laying on my bed scrolling through his phone. He set his phone down and looked up to me. "So what was that about." I gave him a confused look until he continued.

"You told Quentin that Thea was 'Our' daughter. He's probably going to kill me now, and you know I'm gay. It's disgusting to even think about having a daughter with you." I chuckled and went into the bathroom with Hayden following behind me. I started the bath and unclothed Thea putting her in the warm water.

"You know I don't want a mate, Hay. I was trying to hurt him so he didn't have a chance to hurt me." I sighed with defeat and massaged shampoo into Thea's scalp.

"Don't you see what your doing, Mandy. You logic is crazy." He started to raise his voice cause Thea to hold her hands to her ears. He noticed this and sighed then continued with a softer tone. "Your hurting him because of the pain you experienced in the past. You need to let go and move on."

I stopped a his words and thought deeply before tears came spilling out of my eyes uncontrollably. "It's okay Mommy. I'm still here." I laughed at Thea and hugged her tightly with Hayden joining in. Suddenly I heard loud growling and turned to see Quentin inside my room.

I quickly got up and shut the door fast so he didn't see Thea naked and try and go after Hayden. "Let me in Mandy. Why are hugging him. He is not your mate, I have every right to kill him if I wanted to." He banged on the door making Thea jump into Hayden's arms.

"Lets get dressed." I said in a happy tone and locked the door and grabbed Thea's clothes.

"Your naked in there! Let me in Mandy." This time his tone was louder and he growled. Thea started crying out of fear and I mind linked Hayden asking him to calm her down and finish putting on her clothes while I dealt with Quentin.

I walked out of the bathroom swiftly and closed the door behind me. "What are you doing here. Who let you in."

"Your Mother showed me to your room, Why were you naked in there with him." His eyes were pitch black and he was staring at the door behind me with pure anger and pain.

"Look at me Quentin." His eyes shifted from the door to me to back to he door in a second. I didn't know what to do since I have never had a boyfriend or mate before.

'Cup his cheek and guide his eyes to look at you.' Raven said sounding sad and disappointed

I sighed deeply and did as Raven said. I could practically feel his heart beating and the sparks weren't helping. "Can we talk. Please?" I felt tears threatening to fall and grabbed his arm pulling him outside to the garden. 'I'm outside with Quentin. Using your advise, please watch over Thea no matter what happens. I don't care if there are Rogues attacking and my father asked for your help. Do not leave her side.' I minded linked Hayden

'Yes Alpha' You could practically hear the smile in his voice. 'd**k' Raven said in spite.

"Are you okay Sunshine." I smiled at his nick name and started to relax at his voice. I even think Raven is starting to like him.

'I AM NOT. Even though he is handsome, future Alpha, strong and our mate." Raven's voice was flustered and cute when she denied her feelings for our mate.

"I need to explain myself to you." I simply stated, turning away and lifting my legs onto the bench and into my chest. "I tried rejecting earlier because I was angry. I was angry at the Moon Goddess for pairing up my brother with a murder. Angry at my father for making me leave my pack to go to some dumb human school. I was angry at the Victoria girl who claims the 'Queen Bee' title. But I think I was angry with myself. I still am."

"Why? there's no need to be" Quentin reached for my hand but I tucked it away to where he couldn't grab it I looked up at him with tears in my eyes and saw all the pain I caused him today. I touched his hand and clutched it tightly.

"I've hated myself ever since that day." I paused and pushed up my arm sleeves showing Quentin my cutting scars. "I've told myself over and over to end my pain for the sake of the pack but I always had a reason to stay alive. Thea. She is the reason I am even here meeting you today."

I was instantly engulfed in a warm hug and sparks erupted all throughout my body. I felt his tears fall and let mine fall to. We stayed like this for a few minutes till we heard a little girls voice. "Mommy!!! Is this my new daddy!?" Thea ran into my arms and looked back and forth from us and I saw Hayden with his eyes widened and his hand covering his mouth trying to hold in his laughter.

"U-um. Yeah I guess so. If that's okay with you." Thea hugged me and I smiled back at her looking over to Quentin with a happy expression and nodded his head vigorously. I felt Raven jumping with anticipation.

Then Thea got off of my lap and went over to Quentin and jumped into his arms. "Hi Daddy!"
