Emma's POV.
Joseph answers his own door when I knock. I'm a little stunned and for a split second, I don't know what to do next. Seeing him open the door caught me completely off gaurd.
He smiles at the sight of me.
"Emma, my love, what a wonderful surprise. Please, come in?"
He ushers me inside and closes the door behind us.
"Uhm...Where is your Butler?"
Joseph looks a little confused and then realisation dawns in his eyes.
"Right, you must be talking about Stanley. Well my love, he is an old man and I felt that he deserved to retire. He shouldn't spend whatever time he has left working."
He smiles at me again and leads me into the lounge and invites me to take a seat.
"I guess you can say that I am in between Butlers at the moment."
