Shaun's POV.
Just as we crossed the river, into the woods, a familiar scent caught my attention.
It was Amanda. She had joined us. Amanda was an extremely fast wolf, one of the fastest in our pack, so it made complete sense that she had caught up with us.
If the other four wolves noticed her on our flank, they didn't show it. They just carried on running after the Lycan's scent. Amanda was a well liked wolf when she was in the pack, and more than a few of the younger wolves had expressed interest in her, she just never showed any interest in them.
I mind linked with her, and only her.
"What are you doing here?"
"I heard what happened from one of the other officers at the academy. I wanted in on the action. I want to make those son's of bitches pay for what they did to our girl."
