“You start immediately,” Gwen, the head omega, announced and I nodded as she explained all that I was expected to do.
“And don’t think because you were recommended by the beta’s wife I’ll cut you some slack. You’ll have to work as hard as everyone else and prove your worth in this pack.” She told me as she glared down at me and I remained silent.
I took the list she handed over to me and went about doing exactly as she had asked.
“Madeline, I was wondering if you would show up today.” Emily called out to me as I scrubbed the floors of the hallway.
I rose to my feet and cleaned my wet hands against my apron.
