Chapter 12

Veronica's POV

It was now 3 months later. I had an interview with Mercury Records on Monday. Katie had a doctors appointment today to find out the s*x of our baby. And Ana's birthday was finally coming. Her birthday and party were on Saturday! She was finally turning one!

We were now on our way to Katie's doctors appointment. She was excited because we were finally going to learn the s*x of our child. Ana wanted a little brother so we were happy about that. We got out and Katie took Ana over to sit down while I went over to check her in.

"Hi. Can I help you?" The lady behind the desk asked.

"Hi. Yes, I'm checking in Katie Rivers. She has an appointment with Dr. Reed at 12:00." I said.

"Ok. Your all good. Dr. Reed will be with you soon." She smiled.

"Thank you." I smiled and walked away.

Not even 5 minutes later we were walking back with Dr. Reed. She had Katie lie on the bed and pull her shirt up.

"The gel could be either very cold or warm. So either way its probably gonna be uncomfortable." SHe smiled at Katie.

"Ok. Thanks for the warning." atie smiled then jumped when the gel touched her stomach.

Dr. Reed examined her stomach for a couple of minutes before turning to us with a smile, "Here's baby number one. And this is baby number two. Would you like to know the s*x?"

"Yes please." Katie said.

We had already talked it over and both agreed to wanting to know what our baby- or now babies- were.

"It looks like you are having.... two baby boys! Congratulations!" Dr. Reed said.

She pirinted out pictures for us and scheduled the next appointment with Katie and we were on our way. After we got in the car, I looked at Katie, "You okay with having twins?"

"Yeah. I can't wait. What about names?" She asked me.

"How about Landon and Luke?" I asked.

"No. How about Andrew and Matthew?" She asked.

"No. There's an Andrew in my graduating class remember?" I asked.

"Oh yeah."

"How about Aiden and Ashton?"

"Nah. I don't want them to start the same. Thomas and William?"

"No way. How about.... hmmm. Jayden and Kayden?"

"Yes! I love that! What about middle names though?"

"Jayden Jackson and Kayden James." I said.

"That's awesome. So we're gonna welcome Jayden Jackson and Kayden James into the family in 6 months okay Ana?" Katie asked

"Ana?" I asked, glancing back and realising she was passed out.

I smiled and pulled into the driveway. We had everyone come over and when everyone was finally here, and Katie was settled with a banana and peanutbutter sandwich, we decided to tell them the news.

"So. We're having twins." I said.

"Oh my god! What are they?" Faith asked as the others screamed.

"Two little healthy boys." Katie said, taking a bite from her sandwhich.

"We decided on Jayden Jackson and Kayden James for their names." I said.

"That sounds lovely. Are you going to call Jayden JJ?" My mom asked.

"I'm not sure yet. Most likely though." I said.

"Congratulations you two." Blair said with a smile.

"Thanks." I said as Katie had her mouth full.

Ana walked over and climbed up into my lap, "Hi."

"Hi. Where have you been?" I asked.

"Mm?" She said. "Oyor."

"Oh. Ok. You excited for your birthday party? I asked.

"Eah." She said as she nodded.

I smiled and looked over at Katie who had now finished her sandwich. She looked back at me and made a face before getting up and running into the bathroom. I sighed and held Ana close to me. She was my baby girl and I know she is going to be super jealous when her little brothers arrived. She wsa just that kid. I kissed her head and we went back to planning for the babies. Well, they did. Katie came out and started to help plan.

"Hey. We have 6 months to plan for the boys. Ana's party is in 2 days. Let's make sure we have everything for that first." I said.

"Veronica's right. We gotta make sure the princess feels special on her special day!" Blair said smiling at Ana.

"Oh! Did I tell you the pinata I ordered came in yesterday? We have to fill it with candy today or tomorrow." Katie said.

"What shape is it?" I asked.

"A rocket of course." Katie grinned as she looked at Ana.

Ana smiled and went to find a movie. She walked back with The Lego Movie in her hand so I went to put it in. I hit play and helped Ana get back in my lap as they all talked about what was going to happen at the party. I heard slip-n-slide and water balloons and was set. She was going to have the biggest first birthday party ever. She was our first child and I wasn't going to let everyone ignore her because their are other babies coming.

After the movie was over, we ordered pizza and wings and just had a blast chilling together. I could tell everyone was ready to do something to I went and got out my wii. Everyone took turns playing guitar hero and other games. We turned on some music and started to dance and laugh. We were like on huge ass family. Even though we were all actually related in someway now that my mom and Sammie's were dating.

"Alright. Everyone needs to be quiet now. Ana needs to get some sleep. Her big day is in two days and whe can't take a nap then." Katie said as she picked Ana up.

"Want me to put her to sleep babe?" I asked.

"No you always do it. I want some one-on-one time for a little bit." Katie said.

"Ok." I walked over and gave Ana a hug. "Night Ana-rocket. I love you."

"Ight. Ov oo momma." Ana said with a yawn.

I watched her and Katie walk up the stairs and then went to play some guitar hero.

Katie's POV

I laid down with Ana and smiled. She was looking around then she looked at me and laid down too. I rubbed her back as she looked at me.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"Ov ee?" Ana asked.

"Yes I love you." I told her.

"Oh." She said.

"Ee a?" She asked.

"You bad?" I asked.

"Eah." Ana said.

"No baby girl. You aren't bad." I said.

"Oh." She said looking confused.

"Mommy's just been very stressed that's all. I love you very much and that's why I wanted to put you to bed tonight. Because your my baby girl too." I smiled at Ana.

She grinned and looked at me, "Ing?"

"Yeah. I'll sing." I said.

"Ay. Ov oo." Ana said as she closed her eyes.

"Love you too baby girl." I kissed her forhead before singing baby mine to her.

After that I sang a bunch of different lullabies and she was out. I laid there for a little bit just holding her not wanting to let her go. She was my little girl and I had been neglecting her lately because of the boys. I sighed and decided that Ana, Veronica and I needed a vacation.

I hadn't even realised I fell aleep until Veronica woke me up so I could change into my pajamas. I yawned as I climbed back into the bed. I looked over at Veronica and smiled. She was already asleep. I kissed her lightly before going to sleep myself.

Veronica's POV.

It was finally Ana's birthday. The gang was all here. Katie's sisters came and brought their families. Her mother and father even came and they didn't have much to do with Ana. They still didn't like the fact that I had once been Katie's student but f**k them. I looked over and smiled when I seen Ana eating a cheese puff. I walked up and sat down next to her.

"Hi little cutie." I said.

"Hi momma." Ana smiled.

"Having fun?" I asked.

"Eah." Ana answered.

"Wanna go in the bounce house?" I asked.

"Eah!" Ana said and held her arms out to me.

I picked her up and ran across the yard with her. I dove into the bounce house and started to bounce around with her. I set her down and smiled as she started to jump on her own. I jumped next to her making her fall down ahd she giggled. I moved away and then came back and did it again. She squealed and giggled. We did this for about 20 minutes before Katie said that we could go on the obstacle course. We ran over and I raced Justin through it before I helped Ana race him through it.

"Hurry Ana! Crawl under it like momma!" I said and laughed when Justin pretended to fall. We climbed up the latter and Justin grabbed my leg.

"Go on without me Ana. Uncle Justin has me. Hurry! Slide down and save yourself! Mommy's waiting for you! I love you!" I yelled as Justin pulled me down.

Ana giggled and slid down the slid and jumoed into Katie's arms.

"Ana wins!" Katie yelled.

We played on the obstacle course for a while before Ana wanted to go back into the bouce house. We went on and played for a while before she saw Katie and my mother setting up the slip-n-slide. She pointed to it so I hlped her out of the bounce house and we wakled to the slip-n-slid.

"Ee?" Ana asked Katie.

"Yeah. This is for you. Wanna go?" Katie asked her.

"Eah!" Ana said.

Katie took off her clothes that were covering her bathing suit and I smiled and walked to the other end of the slip-n-slide. She gave Ana a small shove and she went flying down and into my arms. We had fun on that for a while too before we were called over to eat. We were having hot dogs, hamburgers and salads. I made Ana's plate and mede sure Katie had her before I made Katie'd plate. I gave it to her then went back to make my plate.

"Where's my plate?" Sammie asked me.

"Sitting on the table over there." I grinned.

"Wow. Your so mean." Sammie said as she wen tot make her's and Justine's plates.

After everyone ate we decided she could open her presents now. I taught her how to do it and she started to do it by herself. She got a baby doll that talks from Sammie and Justine. More building blocks from my mom and Sam. We knew those would be good. She loved to build but hated taking them apart when she was done and needed more blocks. They got her a lot of them too. Justin got her a monster truck that jumped in the air when you pushed it.

Kylee's family also got her one of those. Krystal's family got her blocks. Kuro's got her coloring books and crayons- thank god! She was running low. And Konan's family got her some books that when you pressed a button on the side it sang or talked to you. But Blair's present got her most of all and she refused to put it down..... it was a teddy bear that had her name across its cheast......sitting on a rocket. And when you squeezed it it would sing baby mine or twinkle twinkle little star. Ana refused to put it down. She had the biggest smile ever on her face when she opened it too.

We could tell she was getting restless so Katie went to get the present we got for her. When Katie came back out with a box and put it in front of Ana she looked confused. She opened it and smiled. We had gotten her a giant teddy bear with a t-shirt that said 'Ana-rocket Rules!' on it and jeans that had little rockets all over them. She smiled and hugged it after Katie took it our of the box. She put the one Blair gave her with the one Katie and I got her and smiled.

We went over and got in the pull. I was holding her while Katie talked to my mom.

"Uner." Ana said.

"Under?" I asked her.

"Eah." She smiled.

"Hold your breat no breathing." I said.

"Ay." Ana said.

"Show me how you do it." I told her.

Ana showed me and when she did it right I nodded, "Ok. I'll count to three. Hold your breath now ok?" I asked.

"Ay." Ana said then held her breath.

"1...2...3!" I said as I put her under water and pulled her right back up.

She opened her eyes and let out a deep breath.

"An!" She yelled.

"Hold your breath. 1...2...3!" I did it again and smiled when she wiped the water out of her eyes.

"What are you doing?" Katie asked me.

"She wanted to go under so I put her under the water." I told her, "She can hold her breath right so I thought, why not?"

"Okay. Just make sure she is holding her breath each time." Katie said.

"I know. I am. I'm not gonna let anything happen to her. She's my little rocket." I said smiling.

"I know." Katie said then went back to talking to my mom.

"Wanna have your cake now?" I asked Ana.

"Eah!" She yelled.

"Katie! Ana wants her cake!" I yelled.

"Alright lets go." Katie said.

We all got out of the pool and went over to sing happy birthday to her.

"Okay. We are singing Ana-rocket. I don't want a million different ways to say her name going on okay?" I asked.

"Okay." Everyone agreed.

I put her small circular one down in fron of her and lit the 1 that sat on top of it.

"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Ana-rocket. Happy birthday to you." We all sang.

"Now you goot blow on your candle." I said.

"And make a wish." Blair told her.

Ana smiled and blew on the candle. I took it out and smiled as she smashed her hand in the cake. She had never had cake before. She looked at her hand and ate some of the cake that was on it for she tore into the whole thing. She was like the Tazmanian devil from looney tunes. But it was actually cute. After we ate cake and rested our stomach we went on the obstacle course a couple more times before they had to take it down. We went on the bounce house until they took that down too.

Now all that was left to do was the pinata. Which Sam and my mother were currently putting up. We got a bat and we walked over, "Okay Ana-rocket. You have to het the rocket as hard as you can and try to break it open. There's goodies inside of it."

I set her down and put the blindfold on her, "Okay. Swing!"

She swung and hit it dead on. The she swung again and it broke a little. She hit it one more time and the candy came pouring out. By now it was already 7:30 so we handed out goody bags, thanked everyone fore coming and got Ana ready to go inside. My mom was walking around picking up the trash with Blair and Faith. Sammie was helping Justine and Justin bring all the left over cake inside and clean up where Ana sat.

I thanked everyone for coming then said goodnight because Ana was falling asleep and I had to get her in a quick bath. After her bath we laid down in bed and Katie came out of our bathroom not even 2 minutes later. She laid down and smiled at Ana.

"Did you have a good birthday?" She asked her.

"Eah!" Ana said.

"Was it fun?" She asked.

"Eah." Ana yawned.

"Alright love bug. Go to sleep. I love you."

"Ov oo mommy. Ov oo momma." Ana said.

"I love you too Ana-rocket. Goodnight. Happy birthday." I said.

She was passed out not even a minute later.

"Goodnight Katie. I love youe." I said and gave her a kiss.

"Goodnight. I love you too." She said after we pulled back.

With that.... I passed the f**k out.
