Chapter 19

Veronica's POV

I was home alone with the munchkin's while Katie was at a meeting, The kids were all asleep, so I decided to start maing dinner. I walked out into the kitchen and had just put the water on the stove to boil when the phone went off, I sighed and walked out to get it.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hey baby." Katie said.

"Hey. What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing. I just wanted to see how the kids were and tell you I'm on my way home." She said.

"The kids are all asleep right now-" I was cut off.

"No I not." Ana said.

I smiled, "The boys are asleep. Ana's awake."

"Who dat?" Ana asked.

"Mommy. Wanna say hi?" I asked,

"Yeah!" Ana said.

I picked her up and sat her on the counter and gave her the phone.

"Hi mommy. Where you?" Ana asked.

"I help mama? No... I miss you... Ok mommy see you...wuv you oo...bye." Ana hung up and smiled at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Mommy come home." She said.

"Really? Now?" I asked.

"Yeah mama!" Ana yelled.

I smiled and kissed her head then picked her up and brought her out to the living room with me. I sat her at her princess table with her coloring books and looked at the boys. They were looking at me from the playpen. I watched amazed as Kayden pulled himself up an smile at me.

"Look at you go big man!" I said.

"Mmm." He said.

I walked over and picked them up and sat them on the floor near their toys. I walked out to put the noodles in the water and turnedd it down. I heard the door open and smiled.

"Babe!" Katie said.

"In the kitchen!" I said.

"Help me! i'm getting attacked by a monster!" Katie called.

I was cofused for a second until I heard Ana-rocket growl. I smiled and walked out.

"I'll save you my princess!" I grabbed a foam swor and walked over to the door where Ana was attacking Katie at.

Ana turned around and looked at me and smiled at she let out a growl. I tapped her with the sword and she growled again.

"Back foul demon, back!" I said as I hit her again.

"Grrrr." Ana said.

I heard giggling behind me and looked over my shoulder to see the boys watching us.

"Hiyah!: I said and tapped Ana in the shoulder.

She grabbed her shoulder an fell backwards into Katie with her head to the side and her tongue out.

"I have beat the demon. Now do I get a kiss, Princess Katie?" I asked.

"Yes, fine knight, you may have your kiss." Katie said.

"Ewww!" Ana yelled and an to the living room again.

Katie and I laughed and Katie leant in to kiss me. She pulled away before I could get carried away.

I took her bag and waalked out into the kitchen. I sat it on the counter and stirred the noodles.

"How was work?" I asked, walking back out into the living room.

"Exhausting. Two of my students got into a huge brawl over who would work with one of the girls and it turned out, she didn't want to work with any of them, she wanted to work with one o the other grls that she had a crush on. I'm never letting my first period history class pick partners again." Katie said.

"That sucks. I'll come in and talk to them all for you if you want." I said.

"You are not going to threaten any of my students Veronica. But thank you anyways." She smiled.

"Fine." I grinned and kissed her head.

"So, how was your day?" Katie aske me.

"Great. We made a fort and hid in it. Then we watched movies and ate popcorn. Then we had rocket snadwiches for lunch with soup. And the boys had some wierd green colored crap that actually tasted pretty good with apples and banana stuff. Then we colored pictures and they took a nap." I said.

"Wow. Pretty action packed huh?" Katie asked.

"Yeah. We had to build the fort because aliens were coming to kidnap us and you weren't home to save us from the evil aliens." I said and kissed her.

"Ew." Ana said.

"When you get a girlfriend and you try to kiss her, I'm gonna say ew okay?" I said.

"No." Ana said.

"Your not gonna have a grilfriend?" I asked.

"Yes." Ana said.

"Then no what?" I asked.

"No say ew." Ana said, making Katie and I laugh.

Kayden pulled himself up infront of Katie and smiled at her.

"Oh yeah, he does that now." I said.

"Awwww! My baby boys getting big!" Katie said and picke him up.

Jayden looked at me as if he was saying, 'WTF?"

I laughed and he crawled over to us. Katie picked him up and Ana ran over and jumped up next to Katie too. I decided to let Katie have time with the kids because she had to work all day and walked out o finish dinner. After we ate and the kids had their baths, we put them to bed and walked into our room to change and lie down. I looked at Katie and sighed.

"We should go out tomorrow. Bring the kids to a park, go out for lunch, I don't know. I just want some family time." I said.

"Sounds fun. We can do that." Katie said.

I kissed her again and said goodnight before falling asleep.

When I woke the next morning it was to Ana jumping up and down in bed.

"What are you doing Rocket?" I asked her.

"Ake up now." Ana said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Ungry!" Ana yelled.

"Ana shhh." Katie said.

"Ungry mommy ungry!" Ana yelled.

"Babe! Get her food!" Katie groaned.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today." I said, grabbing Ana and walking ouit of the door.

"Ungry ungry ungry." Ana chanted all the way to the kitchen.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Oater oodle?" Ana asked.

"Strawberry or apple?" I asked.

"App." Ana said.

"One or two?" I asked.

"One." Ana said.

"One apple toaster stroodle comng up!" I said.

I put them in the toaster and yawned. I always make her two because even when she says she only wants one, she always eats two.

I put the frosting on them and set her up at the table to eat. My phone bussed from on the counter and I yawned and looked at it. It was a text from Sammie.

'YO MY HOMIE! What you doing today?" It read.

'Nothing much. Bringing the kids out. Hbu?' I texted back.

'Nm. Hanging with Justine and Justin who is still in a wheelchair.'

'Awe, really?'

'Yep. Hey, why don't we come with you to the park?'

'Actually, it was supposed to be a family outing. But if Katie doesn't get up soon, I'll shoot you a text and you guys can come with.'

'Okay Have fun! I'll talk to you later.'

'Ok Sammie, see ya later.'

'Bye bitch.'

I put my phone down and looked at Ana-rocket who was now finshng her second toaster stroodle. I walked over and sat down with her. She popped the last bite n her mouth and looked at me with a smile on her face. I picked her up and carred her upstairs to get her dressed.

"Babe? What time are we leavng?" Katie asked me as I walked past our room.

"As soon as I shower and your ready to go." I said.

Katie walked out of our room pulling her har back into a ponytail and walking over to Ana and I.

"I'll get her dressed. You go shower." Katie said.

"Okay. Love you." I said and handed her Ana.

"Wuv you too." Ana said.

"Love you." Katie said as she walked nto Ana's room.

I ran back into my room, grabbed an outfit, and hit the shower.

Katie's POV

I sighed as I tried to put Ana's shoes on her. She kept kicking her feet and smiling at me.

"Ana if you want to go to the park later, then your gonna have to work with me honey." I said.

"No wan shoes." Ana said.

"Well, you need shoes to go to the park. If you don't put them on then I'm gonna have to go tell mama." I said.

"No! I shoes!" Ana yelled.

I smiled, "Okay come on."

I put her shoes on her and picked her up bringing her into the boys room with me. Kayden was awake in hs crib and looking at Jayden who was still asleep. For a six month old, Kayden sure didn't sleep a lot.

"Mornng Kayden. Did you sleep good?" I asked him.

"Mmm baa." He said.

"Come here." I said ad picked him up.

I looked over at Ana who was going through Kayden's dresser, "What you doing Ana?"

"Clothes." She said and handed me an outfit.

I looked at it and smiled. Ana had picked out a light blue shirt that said 'I'm a mama's boy' and dark blue jean shorts with light blue socks.

"Nice choice Ana. Wanna pick out Jayden's clothes too?" I asked.

"Yes." Ana said.

Veronica walked into the door and I smiled at her, "Hey babe. Have a nice shower?"

"Yeah. Hey Ana has her shoes on." Veronica said.

"Well yeah, did you doubt me?" I asked.

"No. I just know how she is when it comes to putting on her shoes, that's all baby. Morning Kayden." She said.

"Mama!" Kayden yelled.

"Ha! I was his first word!" Veronica yelled.

"Thats amazing. What time is it?" I asked.

"No. Not the baby book again." She said.

"Yes." I handed Kayden to her and grabbed the baby book that I had in their room. I wrote down his first word and the time he said and the date.

What? I'm very organized.

"Here mommy." Ana sad giving me Jayden's outfit.

A dark blue shirt that said 'Bow down to me, I'm adorable' with dark blue jeans and dark blue socks.

"Thanks Ana." I looked over to see Veronica already putting Kayden's shoes on him.

I woke up Jayden and got him dressed and put his shoes on him and we all walked downstairs. Ana went to her table and I walked out into the kitchen with Veronica and the boys to get them some breakfast. After we fed the boys we packed lunch and snacks for the kids and water bottles and a bottle for the boys incase they got cranky. Veronica grabbed the diaper bags, the bookbag that held the food and drinks and even grabbed Ana and Kayden. Damn she's srtong. I picked up Jayden and grabbed everyone's sunglasses that Veronica forgot to pack and walked out the door making sure it was locked first.

We got the kids in the car and then got in ourseves and off we were. When we finally got to the park, Ana was jumping in her seat. Hey... what two year old wouldn't be happy to be at the park? Or is mine the only one.

We got the kids out and grabbed the bags and I looked at Veronica "Did you pack a blanket?"

"Yeah." She answered hading me Kayden eeing as Ana had already taken off. I looked over at Ana and smiled. She was walking up to some girl like a badass.

"Hey babe. Check out your daughter." I smiled.

Veronica closed the trunk and looked over at Ana. She smiled, "She's such a badass."

"She copies you so much." I said.

"Yeah I know. I can't wait until she goes to school." Veronica said.

"I can." I said.

We walked over to a spot underneath a tree and Veronica set up the blanket so I could put the boys down on it. We sat down with the boys and lets them explore the grass for a little bit before we took them to the playground part of the park. I looked over at Ana, who was now talking to the girl she had been walking towards.

"Kayden no!" I heard Veronica say.

I looked over in time to see Kayden put a worm in his mouth. Veronica grabbed him and pulled it out of his mouth. He looked at her like she was crazy.

"Don't put bugs in your mouth." Veronica said.

Kayden just growled.

We brought them over to the slide and Veronica went down with them for a little bit. I looked over at Ana again and smirked, Ana had lent in to kiss the girl on the cheek but froze when the girl's parents walked over to them. Ana pointed to Veronica and I and they walked ove towards us. Uh oh. I looked past them to see Ana kiss the little girl... on the lips. Way to go Ana!

"Hi, you must be Ana's mother. I'm Stephanie's dad, Richard and this is my lovely wife, Naomi." The dude said.

"Hey, my sisters name is Naomi." Veronica said with a smile. She was on top of the slide with the boys.

"Hi. I'm Katie Ana's mom, and that fool up there is Veronica Ana's other mom." I said.

"I'm not a fool." Veronica mummbled.

"Oh... Ana has two mothers? Where's her father?" Richard asked.

"Actually, we adopted Ana the day she was born. She doesn't know her biological parents." I said.

"And she doesn't have a father." Veronica said.

"Oh... uh. You know a child should have a father figure in her life." Richard said.

"Richard!" Naomi said.

"What?" Richard asked.

"A child does not need a father figure you homophobic prick." Naomi said.

"I'm sorry, but I belive they do." Richard said.

"See this is why we're getting a divorce you supid asshole." Naomi said.

Veronica and I looked at each other awkwardly. Veronica cleared her throat and the two looked at us.

"I'm sorry about him. He thinks he knows everything and that what he says goes. Anyways, Stephanie seems to be into Ana-" Naomi was cut off.

"A little too much." Richard said.

"Yeah well, your daughter keeps kissing mine so." Veronica said, causing Richard to look over just in time to see Stephanie kiss Ana again.

Ana smiled at her.

"Stephanie!" Richard yelled walking over towards them.

"How old is Stephanie?" Veronica asked.

"She's two. And Ana?" Naomi asked.

"Also two." Veronica answered her.

"Well, we should set up a play date for them. You know, cause their hitting it off so well." Veronica said.

"They're way to young to date Veronica." I said.

"Why? I was one when I had my first girlfriend. I kissed her and everything. I even bought her one of those rings you get out of those things that you put a quater in and win a prize." She said.

"How long did you two last?" I asked.

"Five years." Veronica said.

"Really? Do you remember her name?" Naomi asked.

"Yeah. Sammie." Veronica said.

"Whoa wait a minute... You and Sammie dated?" I asked.

"Yeah. It was the best part if my childhood. When we were five, we used to sneak out and run to each others house. Our mothers knew we were and would call and be like 'here she comes' and the other would act so surprized that we showed up. Sammie got all of her kissing skills from me." Veronica said proudly.

"What happened to you two?" Naomi asked.

"Second grade came and we got new kids. Sammie started liking this one girl and she broke up with me. I punched her in her face and told her she meant nothing to me and never did. Then I walked away. Later on, Sammie came over and apologized and said she just didn't want to be like our fathers and cheat on me behind my back so she broke up with me." Veronica said.

"How'd you take that?" I asked her.

"I beat the s**t out of her." Veronica grinned.

Kayden looked up at her and then at Jayden. Jayden shrugged and Kayden smacked Veronica and pointed down the slide so Veronica slid down with them and then went back to the top.

I looked at Ana and raised a brow, "Ana-rocket! What are you doing?"

Ana stopped and looked over, "What?"

"What are you doing?" I asked again.

"Notin." Ana said.

"You sure?" Veronica called.

"I sorry mommy." Ana said to me.

"What was she doing?" Veronica asked.

"Punching that little boy." I said.

"Why?" She asked.

"He got to close to Stephanie for Ana's liking." I said.

"Ah. Ready down!" Veronica said as she slid down with the boys again.

I looked back at Naomi, "So, where you from?" I asked her.

"Georgia. I moved to California when I met Rich and thought we could have a new start. The only bad thing is, he's a homophobic prick and I'm bisexual. We had Stephanie and I started to realize just how bad he was and now, we're looking at a divorce. Where are you from?" Naomi asked.

"California born and raised, also raising my own family." I said.

"Oh that's amazing. So have you been to any of the beaches around here?" Naomi asked.

"A couple of them. We have a pool in our yard and Veronica likes to surprise us with surprise trips to Hawaii a lot so we don't really go to the beaches here." I told her.

"Oh. Hawaii is a very nice place. I wanted to have my wedding there but... Rich wanted to get married in his hometown so we went there." Naomi said.

She was giving me her life story and I was holding back. ow that I think about it, we are standing pretty close right now. I leaned back against the slide and raise a brow at Naomi.

"So, are you guys planning on getting married?" She asked.

"Yeah. We're getting married in Hawaii over the summer." I smiled.

"That's nice. You know you're a very beautiful lady, you must have people coming up to you all the time." Naomi said.

Okay?

"Nah, Veronica keeps them away." I said.

She took a step closer to me. b***h, stay. The. f**k. Away. From me.

"Oh really?" She asked.

"Yeah." I said.

Kind of how I'm hoping she does with you real soon.

"How sweet. How about when she's not around?" She asked.

"Uh, I'm usually always out with someone else so no one really comes up to me." I said.

"Oh."

Bitch. Back the f**k up.

"Yeah... uh. Hey babe?" I called.

"Ye- Why the f**k are you standing so close to my woman? Back the f**k up." Veronica told Naomi then looked at me, "Yeah babe?"

"When do you want to feed the kids?" I asked, watching as Naomi backed up a little.

"We can feed them now. You boys hungry?" She asked them and their little heads shot up to look at her.

They slid down and she handed me Jayden. Naomi followed us. Yes, I know. The b***h is weird as hell.

Veronica and I fed the kids and we got Naomi's phone number so we could set up a play date with Neveah and Stephanie. When they realized they had to leave each other they got upset but Veronica promised them that they would see each other again and they were fine. Now we were on our way home and I was thinking. Can you believe that Naomi had the balls to wink and blow me a kiss wile I was getting in Veronica's car? Veronica flipped her off. Then she waited for me to be in the car to get in herself.

I sighed and looked over at Veronica.

"What?" Veronica asked.

"I hope Stephanie doesn't grow into her mother." I said.

"Me neither." She said.

I sighe and laid back with my sunglasses on and relaxed for the rest of the drive. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to see how Naomi acts when we go see them for the play date.

That b***h better leave me the f**k alone though.
