Chapter 20

Katie's POV

It was the next weekend and Naomi was brining Stephanie over to hang out with Ana-rocket. I was kind of nervous because of how close Naomi got to me when we first met, and now she was coming to my house. Like she knows where I live now. What would happen if she showed up randomly one day and Veronica wasn't here. I was brought out of my thoughts by a knock on the door. I got up to answer it and smiled when I seen Veronica on the floor with the kids. I walked over to the door and opened. It was Naomi and Stephanie. Naomi smirked as she checked me out. Oh hell no. I moved aside and let her walk in.

"Hey, how have you been?" She asked me.

"Fine. And yourself?" I asked.

"Okay. But... I'm feeling a lot better now." She said as she checked me out again.

"Yeah. Follow me."

But I swear to god if I catch you checking out my ass I will rip you apart.

"Hey babe, Naomi and Stephanie are here." I smiled as Ana jumped up and smiled at Stephanie.

Naomi sat her down and she walked over to Ana. Kayden watched her and then threw a block at her. I bit back a smile and looked at Naomi. She was looking at me again. I walked over and sat on the couch and she sat next to me. Maybe this was a really bad idea.

"So what are you guys doing tomorrow?" Naomi asked me.

"We're taking the kids to go look for their clothes for the wedding." Veronica said.

"Oh, do you want some help?" She asked.

"No thanks." Veronica said.

"Well, do you know what colors its going to be?" She asked.

"Yeah, blues, oranges, and sandy colors. Cause it's a beach wedding." She said.

"Oranges?" Naomi asked, "Why oranges?"

"Because I like orange and its like a sunset." Veronica said.

"Oh... Well, I guess if you like it that's all that matters than right?" She asked.

"Mhm." Veronica hummed. Her phone went off so she went into the other room to answer it.

Which means it was work and she probably has to go into the office for a couple minutes... leaving me alone with Naomi. Of f**k no. Not f*****g happening.

"Babe! I have to go into work for a couple minutes. They want to talk about a cover album and what songs I'm going to put on it." Veronica said.

"Now?" I asked.

"Yeah. Are you gonna be ok? I can call and tell them that I can't come in right now if you really want me to. I mean, if you don't feel comfortable." Veronica said.

"She'll be fine. Don't you worry about her." Naomi said, "I'll protect her."

No you won't.

"That's what I'm worried about." Veronica said.

I smiled.

"I'll be fine until you get back babe, I don't want you to cancel because of me. I have the kids, so they'll keep me safe, right boys?" I asked and Kayden threw a block at Naomi and it hit her in the head.

I swear, I have them but they act just like Veronica. What the hell man. Why can't one of them be like me? I looked at Jayden and he was looking at Kayden like he was nuts.... okay. Maybe one of them will turn out like me.

"Okay. I'll be back in like and hour. I love you." She said and kissed me.

I kissed her back and smiled when we pulled apart, "I love you too, babe. Be careful and don't worry."

"I'll try not to worry. But I will be careful." She smiled and kissed the kids.

After she left, Naomi looked at me. Here we go.

"So..." She said.

"So?" I replied.

"Now that she's gone, let's get down to business." She said.

The f**k?

"What do you mean business?" I asked.

"I know you want me." Naomi said.

"Excuse me?" I said.

"Come on, its all over your face when you look at me. I'm surprised Veronica doesn't see it." Naomi said.

"Maybe she doesn't see it because I don't want you?" I asked

"Trust me babe, you do. We just have to get rid of Veronica. Then we can be together." She smiled.

Why do I always attract the creepy people? First Kimberly and now her? God. These two and Mariah should form a freaking tri or something.

"Yeah, well, I don't want to be with you. I want the family that I have with Veronica. Because I love Veronica. Not you." I said.

"Your just in denial."

"f**k you."

"Anytime you want babe. Just say the word."

"You're gross."

"And you love it."

"No, I don't. At all."

"Come on baby."

"Get away from me."

"You know you want this."

"Please back the f**k off of me."

I screamed as she pinned me on the couch and kissed me. I couldn't get her off. Please help me.

~Veronica POV~

Turns out, my boss didn't want me to come to the office until Monday. His secretary just forgot to mention that part and called me back right before I turned onto the highway. I sighed and got out of my car. I froze when I heard Katie scream and ran into the house. When I ran into the living I got pissed. Naomi had Katie pinned on the couch and was kissing her.

"GET THE f**k OFF OF HER YOU STUPID b***h!" I roared.

She shot up and looked at me, terrified.

Good.

She got off of Katie and looked at me then back to Katie, "Damn babe, you shouldn't have screamed."

"f**k you!" Katie yelled.

"Mommy? Ok?" Ana said, walking over to her.

"Yeah, rocket. I'm okay." She said.

"Okay." Ana said and hugged her. Katie pulled her into her lap and held onto her.

"Look, get your kid, and get the f**k out of my house before I call the cops. You better consider yourself lucky if Katie doesn't press charges on your ass." I said.

"Your just jealous that she wants me and not you." Naomi said as she picked up Stephanie.

"No... Your jealous that you will never have her. Or anyone like her." I said.

"f**k you." Naomi said and walked out.

I looked at Katie and then dropped onto the couch and pulled her into my arms.

"I'm so sorry I left you babe." I said.

"Don't worry about it." She said and cuddled into me.

"I love you so much." I whispered.

"I love you to." She replied.

We got the kids lunch and than put the boys down for a nap.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too." She smiled and watched as Ana built a castle from her Legos.

After she was done building it, she grabbed a sword and then repeatedly hit it until it broke. Violent child.

"Hey Ana. What do you want for dinner?" I asked her.

"Chiese?" She asked.

"Chinese?" I clarified.

"Yeah." She nodded.

"Chinese it is. Is that okay with you Katie-baby?" I asked.

"You haven't called me that in forever," She said looking up at me. "And yeah. Chinese is fine."

"I'm sorry." I kissed her head and grabbed my phone and ordered dinner.

I wouldn't want to be anywhere else than with my family at that moment. I can't wait until summer again. I just want Katie to actually be mine, ya know?
