THE IVORY BAR Miguel's ex fiancee, Bridget, sat by herself at a bar, with her fingers gently holding a glass of wine. It was her third glass, and she could feel its strength as it warmed her insides. She glanced at her wristwatch for the umpteenth time as the seconds were ticking away, slower than usual, or so it seemed to her anxious mind.
