BRIDGET'S HOUSE
Bridget stood on her balcony. She looked like she was out there trying to enjoy the evening breeze, but her gaze remained fixed on Jeff, who stood before her, clearly nervous.
She didn’t bother with pleasantries. “What do you have for me?” she asked looking like she was already tired of waiting for answers.
Jeff shifted his weight, clearing his throat before responding. “I found out that Laura and her family haven’t been in their house for a couple of days now. I did some digging, and I discovered they’ve relocated to a new house in a very secure estate," Jeff said to her.
Bridget raised her eyebrows in surprise. “A new house? How on earth could they afford a place in any estate, let alone a secure estate?” Bridget asked in annoyance. She couldn't believe it.
