MIGUEL'S MANSION
Laura stormed into Miguel’s home office, the air around her charged with tension. Every step she took was heavy with frustration, her arms tightly crossed over her chest. Her face, filled with of anger and worry, left no doubt about how she was feeling.
“I can’t believe this, Miguel,” she started sharply, her voice rising. “Lily was almost kidn*pped today! How could you let this happen? First, Max, then myself and now Lily?”
Miguel looked up from his desk, his face calm but with the strain of the day written all over him. He took a deep breath, willing himself to remain composed. “Laura, I understand how you feel. This isn’t how I wanted their week with me to go. But—”
