Miguel leaned back against the headboard of his bed, the glow of his phone illuminating his face as Ash’s voice came through the speaker.
“We’ve got a breakthrough,” Ash said. “Richard Johnson's hitman just gave his statement. Turns out it was Seth Johnson who hired him and linked him to Richard," she added.
Miguel’s expression remained neutral, though his mind churned with possibilities. “Did he provide any proof to back that up?” he asked.
Ash responded, “Yes, sir. He showed us chats on his phone—conversations between him and Seth Johnson. It’s all there, clear as day, before the arrangement with Richard was finalized.”
