The fact that Seth had barely slept the night before made it even more impossible for him to relax. His thoughts were a jumbled mess of worry and plans.
After his upsetting phone call with Miguel, he realized that the situation was far worse than he’d anticipated.
If Miguel had evidence strong enough to arrest his uncle, Seth needed to know exactly what they were dealing with.
He had to confront Richard and find out what Miguel might be holding over their heads.
Grabbing his phone, he called his secretary. “Pat, if anyone comes looking for me, reschedule. I'm heading out immediately," he said.
“Yes, sir,” Pat replied. “What about the meetings for today?”
“Reschedule them too,” Seth said curtly. “I’m not in the right frame of mind for business meetings right now.”
