Elizabeth was still in her work clothes, standing in the sitting room, excitement radiating from her as she recounted the day to her brother Miguel, who sat comfortably on the couch.
"You should’ve been there, Miguel," she said, practically beaming. "The investors were hanging on every word! I had them completely convinced. I think I really impressed them," she added with a bright smile.
Miguel grinned, unable to hide his pride. “I'm proud of you, Liz," he said warmly. "There’s no way I’m letting you stay home all day anymore."
Elizabeth gave him a puzzled look. “What do you mean?”
“I mean that you need to start working full-time," Miguel said, his tone teasing but with a hint of seriousness. "Oasis Group would benefit from your wealth of knowledge on a daily basis.”
